Demon of the Mist

Demon of the Mist
Kiri Anbu Captain
Kiri Anbu Captain

It had been only two weeks since the invasion of the Hidden Mist Village.  Tensions were still high, security on full alert; patrols doubled all along the borders and bridge in the Land of Water. No matter who entered the village, the Mist would be acutely aware of their presence and location. Even if the foreigner was no enemy of the Mist people, they would be monitored as potential threats. All were considered intruders of the Mist Village’s well being and thus followed all across the Water Country and Mist Village; even into the most remote of places. Most guests just entered cautiously, waited for approval and understood the security protocols; but on occasion some guests walked into the Mist Village without a care in the world. These people just assumed that they could enter the most blood vicious village willy nilly and enjoy the Mist’s Village’s oceanic weather and unique culture. They were gravely mistaken and would be quickly taught the error of their actions. One such shinobi entered the village strolling right down the massive bridge and into our gates without consideration of the Mist’s approval. Most importantly he was an S class shinobi of a village that had no formal alliance with the Bloody Mist.

A well known shinobi, but hardly renown; identified by his rare kekkei genkai. A man who’s most notable trait was something he couldn’t even control; it was something he was born with. He was a dull shinobi tool, it may be possible to kill with it and get the mission done. But he was no true shinobi, man of no real conviction or talent. Hakai on the other hand was unknown to the Ninja world, his face, his identity and most importantly his abilities were a secret. He was known as the Demon of the Mist, leader of the Mist Village’s elite Anbu forces and for his Demonic mass murders across the ninja world. How he did it, the who he was and the what he was; was never answered. He was known by only his mask and the legendary blade that he wields. Today Demon of the Mist would test the might of the Cloud Village’s Anbu Captain. In a flash the battle of the Anbu Captains would begin.

Receiving a hastened report from his guard captains, it was certain; Genisis of the Cloud Anbu was in the Village Hidden in the Mist. The report enclosed of his various dealings in the Mist, including his friendly spar with the Hakai’s own apprentice. The report indicated he was headed towards the upper shinobi training grounds on the out skirts of the Village. There was only one reason to head to these training grounds and that was to spar. Designed for upper class shinobi the grounds were spacious and away from where civilians might get in the way. They allowed for shinobi of high caliber to settile their differences the Mist Village way. Taking in the information Hakai would think to himself quickly, This is the chance I’ve been looking for, the angle to advance her training. He would speak to the two anbu that stood in front of him, looking at the captain who just spoke. “He wishes to test the might of the Mist village.” Pausing for a moment the other anbu would interject, “Allow me, Lord Demon. His death will be swift.” Smirking Hakai would reply, “No Barney Fife, you would kill this man far too quickly. If he wishes to test the might of the Mist Village, he will have its full force.” With that he would stand up, making sure the mask he always wore was tightened. The blue demonic face rested comfortable on his stern facial features. Grabbing Samehada he would arise forming seals and molding his chakra releasing it as he became completely vertical; forming two unique types of clones on either side of him. Quickly the weaker of the two clones would form a seal and use a basic ninja art, turning himself into a replica of the legendary blade, Samehada. The other clone created as perfect likeness of Hakai would grab the blade and strap it to his back. Exiting side by side the two Demon of the Mist’s would begin their journey to the training grounds. They exited from a under ground building in the upper division of the Mist Village, close by their target location. Both with matching speed they would race forward bounding across building, their advance speed allowing them to arrive in moments. As they arrived surveyed the scene and the shinobi who was dauntlessly just arriving at the same location. These training grounds were segregated from the Mist village by a massive concrete wall, with no door; used to protect the missive village from collateral damage from the training that took place here. Composed of three fields each space appropriately  the man stood at the third, largest field that had its back to the Water Country’s Southern gate and razor mountains that scratched the sky like knives. The field was quite massive and clearly designed with consideration to the higher ranked Mist Shionbi who utilized it. The field was roughly three hundred meters in width and length, the on one side were tall pine trees that grew naturally in the mountains of the water country; a 5 meter riven at their base. The majority of the field was flat and green with luscious grass, it offered no cover and extended to the massive wall that protected the village. Mist village symbols etched on to each side of the field. It was this location that battle of the Anbu Captains would be settled.

As the duo of Hakai’s arrived outside the training grounds they would separate. One would move forward forming a single seal creating a massive coating of black mist over the area, a sign for all to leave. In less than a second the training grounds would be clear, in various rushes and blurs of motion. The black mist would cover the entrance to the training grounds, it reached the training grounds, moving every step with its caster. With a thud double bound rope knocks would drop in front of the cloud ninja, as a single tall masked figure would walk out from the black mist. Samehada strapped to his back he would peer toward the lava release user; his muscles and body tense ready to strike. Standing exactly 21 meters and 2 feet from his target he would speak in a low rumble. “You may surrender to me, by binding yourself with those.” Gesturing to the rope at his feet, as he spoke the mist would begin to fill in all around the two shinobi. The man keeping his left hand in a continual seal controlling the mist. “If you do not surrender now, you will forfeit your life.” As the facsimile man finished speaking he would show his skill in the ninja art of swordsmanship and pull the massive unbound Samehada blade from his back in a flash. As the blade reach its full position a massive demonic aurora would burst from the man, warning him of his intent.  With a single arm he would extend the blade horizontally forward pointing directly at the man.  The black Mist would begin to fall in filling the gap between the two. As demonic figures would dance around them in the Mist, clear for both parties to see. As the mist began to close in so would the ominous figures.

As one Hakai moved forward, the other would move to the right. Using the mist as cover he would quickly and quietly dive into the earth, moving rapidly he would position himself in the tree line. Rising slowly to make no noise he would slide up through the soft sand.  Positioning himself 20 meters to the right of the man’s left shoulder, barely rising waist high he would release his attack. Silently and from behind he would release 3 senbon aiming for the man's brain stem. The black mist closing in around him as he released the attack. The metal needles would reach their target one second after the rope would hit the ground in front of the man. Before they would find their target the man would continue his jutsu, submerging into the ground again. He would emerge silently into the side of the river.  There he would meld with it using his kekkei genkai, he would prepare his next strike. Silently in a form a water he would throw a shurken towards the location Samehada pointed. Forming a blur of seals the shuriken would duplicate 10 times in chakra copies. The formation of blade would fly at taijustu master speeds, spreading in a box formation. The massive wave of blades would cover a 3 meter radius by 3 meter radius, aiming to take down the man.

OCC: Claiming hits. He was online when I posted and the day after when I pm'd him. I bumped thread at 48 hours and then waited another 4 days. Alas I must move on with my life.

Hakai's aim was on point. His first strike would line the man's neck with razor sharp needle, stabbing into his brain stem. He would begin to fall to the ground as the second attack launched. The furry of shuriken adjusted to his descending position. His body would be littered with metal weapons. A second later the black mist that was created would fall back. Hakai and his clone would meet at the motionless man. Stripping the man of his weapons, clothes and valuables the clone would pick up the bare body; hakai would remove his ninja tools returning them bloody to their pouches. Together Hakai and his clone would walk off. With a near lifeless body of the Village hidden in the Cloud's Anbu Captain

exit.
