((OOC: This is the start of the new Mizukage. It explains what happened to the previous one. Your characters may get involved and ask questions or make objections. This is a village event, so everyone who posts get's 500 Ryo. Only Kiri shinobi may post in it.))

The air in Kirigakure was still as the sun peeked in through the mist that blanketed the village. Signs that were recently put up in the previous Mizukage’s madness were being taken down and disassembled. Whispers and rumors spread throughout the village streets. The village had been in a state of worry for some time. The previous Mizukage had become odd with time, and everyone had soon realized that madness was gripping his mind. However, as mad as the man may have been, he was still strong enough to claim the title of Mizukage. It wasn’t until earlier in the day before that the village seemed to be released from his manic grip. A lone woman entered the Administrative building and when she exited the building, she dragged a man out, wrapped in ice.

The man whom was wrapped by the ice had a thin blanket wrapped around him to prevent complications from contact with the ice. The previous Mizukage was unconscious. The woman dragged him through the village until she reached the hospital. Once there, she went inside and spoke to the doctors and nurses for a brief moment. They led her inside, and she followed, continuing to drag the man behind her. She left half a hour later without the man. Shortly after that it was announced that the new Mizukage would be chosen the next day.

When that day came, Mizuki stood on a platform in front of the administrative building. She wore typical clothing. Her white yukata top was open, showing her mesh tank top below. Over that was a light blue scarf. On her head was the wide triangular hat that indicated her as the Mizukage. As the village gathered, the woman spoke calmly. Her voice was firm and cold, like a glacier crashing through the silence that hung in the air.

“Kirigakure’s chain of failed Mizukages is now over,” she began. Her voice was slow and deliberate, as if she was thinking about every word she said before she spoke. “I will not poison my mind, my body nor this village as the past Mizukages have done. I have acted not once but twice in the past to keep this village safe, and now I will ensure that we will become the world power that we were in the past.” Looking off to the side, she raised her right hand, motioning over the crowd. “Mizukage Nezumi was found insane by the Kirigakure hospital late last evening. In his office we found proof of his deranged plans to rebuild this mighty and historic village into a bastardization named Florence. He had written about poisoning the air in a desperate attempt to defend himself. He had forgotten that this village is the strongest of all the villages. Our past is written in the blood and sweat of ourselves and out enemies!” Mizuki took a step towards the edge of the platform. “Kirigakure is a brutal and beautiful village. Our people are strong and savage. You are all an elegant population that can turn into chaos with the snap of a finger. Kirigakure is as fluid and dangerous as the seas that surround us. Be proud Kirigakure. A new age is going to begin. The village of the bloody mist will no longer stumble along in the mist and fog.”

With that, she stepped down from the platform into the crowd, taking questions and comments from the villagers.

New Mizukage huh?

And just like that, he had forgotten his weapons yet again.

Before that, the morning in Kirigakure was shocking. Sun was blinding him with its arrays of too much hot degrees, and the genin had closed his blinds for more sleep. Unfortunately, his alarm clock was off, making a more annoying ticking that had caused the tired genin to awaken from his slumber. Tired, annoyed, and sick of sound in general, he gripped the top part of his alarm clock with a firm lock of his right hands and directed his throw toward the wall from his room, releasing the alarm clock from his grasp as the clock flew 5 to 7 miles per hour, contacting with the wall that had resulted in the alarm clock being shattered to pieces. Good. Finally the sound was over, but he was too wide awake to even make himself go back to sleep. This had caused his morning to be a much more drag than it was going to be. Rolling on the left side of the bed away from the window, he got up from his domain and slipped on his tabi and immediately walked to the bathroom.

He did his daily routine throughout the morning in the bathroom:

  • 2 minutes of staring at his reflection on the mirror
  • 2 minutes of taking off his clothes and washing up with his soapy wash rag
  • 2 minutes of brushing his teeth

After doing so, he washed his face with the warm water and turned the faucet off in his bathroom. Now, the easy part was deciding what to wear for his attire. Hmm. Decisions. Decisions. He could wear his more usual attire to which it consisted of a full body suit that was the color black with the his own clan's flak jacket. It was more suitable wear that was both light and warm to him, comfortable for when it came to cold climates in Kirigakure, mostly when it's somewhat snowing or the cold atmosphere starts to bring about. Putting on his suitable attire, he put on his clan's flak jacket last and had zipped up the vest all the way. Perfect. As he walked towards the window and opened the blind, the sun was shining at a minimum, for the clouds and cold wind had taken toll of the sun. Great, now it began its usual climate.

Opening the window, the genin had climbed out of his window and out into the open. Before that, he grabbed all fifteen senbon that was located in his room in his home, seeing as though he had forgotten his weapons once again but found them in his closet. He zipped the senbon inside his pouch, grabbed both his Dodairiten and placed them behind his back vertically as he closed his window and left his home. He found himself on the rooftop of his home and decided to travel on the rooftops to go to the training grounds to train instead. His feet was quick and subtle, keeping a small sound along with grace and finesse in his movements.

His agility was far beyond potential, but it still needed work. He was more so keened in the arts of weaponry, so his speed with his weapons was untouched by those in his own rank which was a given towards his own clan. He reached to the bottom of several steps and then found himself on the ground in the outskirts of Kirigakure. Walking, he kept his hands in his pockets to keep his hands warm. He also wore a face mask to keep his bottom face hidden and warm as well. It started rain along with the cold wind. It did not matter to the genin at the slightest.

He arrived at the training grounds and glanced at the location, deciphering the surroundings around, being accurate in every detail that he could see. He did not have dōjutsu, so his eyes weren't special, they just saw more detail then those of normal eyes like his own. His ears had caught sounds of those around him; people talking, blades clashing, wings flapping, wind rushing, footsteps coming closer and going farther away. His perception of senses was greatly appreciated from his father's side of the family. He had also felt several chakra signatures coming towards him and leaving him in the process, seeing as ninja usually did come and go quick for when it came to their obligations and missions.

His style was of grace, precision, and accuracy with a hint of flexibility, which was something that he himself was mainly proud of to say the least. He wanted to do a mission, but did not have the team to do it with. Plus with the Chūnin Exams coming up, he had to become strong to surpass those in his villages and those outside of his village. He planned different tactics for small situations and strategies for more complex situations. He was ready for that. His breathing was quite a normal pace, seeing his breath in the cold atmosphere around him. His footsteps was slightly heard all around, but his ears were sharp. He took out the three senbon and placed them between the three knuckles in his right hand.

It was time for some training to do, but before that, he had forgotten that the new Mizukage was chosen today and had seen that everyone had gathered around the Administration Building to see what was going on. He stopped -even though he did not even start- his training and placed the senbon back in his pouch, zipping it up and heading towards the Administration Building. It was crowded, like any other special event going on. This time, the new Mizukage was a female, and not the one before. He wondered what happened to the old Mizukage. It did not matter to him. She began to speak. Her words of 'inspiration' was getting into the ears of others. The gēnin simply looked up and heard her speech.

“Kirigakure’s chain of failed Mizukages is now over. I will not poison my mind, my body nor this village as the past Mizukages have done. I have acted not once but twice in the past to keep this village safe, and now I will ensure that we will become the world power that we were in the past. Mizukage Nezumi was found insane by the Kirigakure hospital late last evening. In his office we found proof of his deranged plans to rebuild this mighty and historic village into a bastardization named Florence. He had written about poisoning the air in a desperate attempt to defend himself. He had forgotten that this village is the strongest of all the villages. Our past is written in the blood and sweat of ourselves and out enemies!" Hmm... so that's what happened to the old Mizukage. He tried to sabotage the village and eradicate it with poison in the atmosphere and rebuilding the village into something called Florence. He smirked a small smirk. Maybe it was a good idea to rid him of his title as Mizukage, and his life as a whole. Wei said no words as he continued to listen.

"Kirigakure is a brutal and beautiful village.

So, that was it. She stepped down from the platform and moved right into the crowd. He guessed her words of wisdom was alright to say the least. Nothing that could pump him up or anything. As she moved, he moved as well from the crowd and continued onward back to the training grounds. If she was able to catch up to him, he would simply stop and listen to what she had to say, if she decided to speak in his presence of course.
