Naruto OSH
This is Naruto OSH, we are a Naruto based forum RP for those that are inexperienced or experienced RPers. We are a new community that is looking to get some new members so that we can start growing. We have an original storyline that is going to grow and expand as more of the plot is revealed to the player base. Advantages to our RP is that we are a loose with restrictions, but try to keep everything fair. Another advantage is that we have rules to prevent inactivity and promise that no character will be stuck in an RP.
PLOT
The Fifth Great Ninja World War
Also referred to as the Shinobi Civil War, The Fifth Great Ninja War was a conflict fought over the devolution of military powers and disarmament of Minor Villages roughly twenty years before the beginning of the board's plot.
The Shinobi Alliance had acted as a peace-keeping institution and mediator for decades up decades when a motion was finally tabled to begin the process of widespread disarmament and reduction of the number of shinobi trained annually. The move was intended as the culmination of the continuing peace process which was meant to ensure another Ninja War never occurred, instead it created dissent amongst the Minor Villages who were asked to disarm first even though they were given the assurance that they would still fall under the protection of the Five Great Hidden Villages.
It was thought by many that this was meant as an impeachment of the Minor Village's sovereignty and merely the Five Nations attempting to gain land by political rather than martial means. In response a confederation of Minor Villages was formed in opposition to the Allied Shinobi Forces and barely a few months later all out war broke out. Fighting and casualties were particularly heavy in those countries lying between Tsuchi and Kaze no Kuni, claiming even the life of the Seventh Kazekage.
Though to a much lesser degree Konoha and Kumo were also afflicted with heavy losses and fighting was no less fierce eventually leading to the nation of Shimo no Kuni being effectively destroyed. Though its involvement was much greater than in previous conflicts Mizu no Kuni was the only nation which retained the majority of its military power.
Eventually the confederation was forced to surrender to cut their losses. Their respective leaders were imprisoned and though they were not entirely disarmed there were strict limits imposed on how many shinobi each was permitted to train.
The Samurai Rebellion
Roughly twelve years after the Fifth Shinobi War, The Samurai Rebellion was an uprising orchestrated by the Eighth Hokage amongst others who were disillusioned with the stalling of the road to peace and wished to remind the world of the horrors it faced if it chose not to abandon its warlike ways. For years the Hokage had pressed the issue of eventual disarmament to the chagrin of his peers, he pushed for the adoption of a model wherein shinobi were bred and raised specifically and in small numbers to keep the peace, which led to many selective breeding experiments in Konoha and elsewhere. It was his eventual intention to abandon this model as well, to create a single martial force which would enforce peace rather than defend it and for this he (on several occasions) attempted to engineer an individual with the legendary Rinnegan.
Coercing the leaders of several Samurai Clans with Genjutsu as well as sending secret communiques to the Clan Leaders in Minor Villages, the Eighth Hokage, in order to create a new power block composed of guerilla fighters which would strike at the Five Nations several times over a period of months beginning in Kirigakure and culminating in an attack on Kumogakure. War resulted and with trust between the Five Nations beginning to fray it was difficult for them to bring a concerted, combined effort to the conflict. The war dragged on so long that measures against the rebels became ever more severe and several Clans were decimated or entirely wiped out.
While the Hokage's master plan worked in the respect that it removed dissident elements from the Minor Nations and dissuaded an entire new generation of shinobi from the horrors of war, the Eighth was eventually outed for his part in the war and forcibly removed at its climax resulting in his death.
Current Plot
After the Samurai Rebellion it seemed that the Eight Hokage's plan had been a cataclysmic failure, disarmament was considered virtually impossible because of the discord which had been sewn amongst shinobi nations both Major and Minor.
Though they produced a multitude of heroes and aspiring ninja willing to avert future wars at any cost it is an undeniable fact that those who were defeated, those who were destroyed will not slip quietly into the annals of history. The time of peace is done as a new cycle of hatred is born.
During this new cycle of hatred, a mysterious and powerful enemy has become known to the shinobi world, one capable of fighting on par with all the current kage. Only one thing stands in between this mysterious villain and his goal of world domination, the sons of the sage reborn. Hagoromo’s son’s chakra has been reborn into the new generation and they will be the only hope for stopping this man. They must learn to work together, and work with the rest of the ninja world if this villain is to be killed. The jinchuriki must also work together and with the descendants of the sage if this person is to be stopped, so now is the time for the ninja world to unite once more.
