Yoh Hyuuga [Finished and ready to be checked] P91b

Name: Yoh Hyuuga
Nickname: The Mystic Palms Ninja
Age: 22
Gender: Male
Village: Konohagakure
Village Rank: Jounin
Skill Rank: A

Yoh Hyuuga [Finished and ready to be checked] V128

Height:
6 feet 2 inches
Weight: 145 pounds
Hair color: dark brown
Eye Color: white
Looks Image: Yoh Hyuuga [Finished and ready to be checked] Shamal.%28KHR%29.240.1313255
Looks Description:
Yoh is an average height male. His hair is a dark brown which can be mistaken for black at times. The hair is normally kept short and well kept, this keeps the strands of hair out of his eyes and not as easy to abuse by other enemies in fights. He often is seen wearing lose fighting cloths that allow him to have the best flexibility so that he can use his taijutsu to its fullest. Being part of the Hyuuga clan Yoh’s eyes are pure white and often come off a bit creepy to those that are not use to the KKG.

His cloths that he normally wears are a dark blue color, his favorite, and often basic t-shirts or loose fitting button up shirts/ long sleeve shirts. He normally pairs these shirts with khaki colored trousers or shorts, again loose fitting. His sandals are tightly clasped around his feet so that he has good footing and often are a dark navy blue color or black. He is almost always seen with his signature necklace that resembles a cross.

Personality Description:
Yoh being part of the Hyuuga clan’s main branch is a person that values pride over most other traits. He has only a drive to make himself and his clan stronger and seeks to uphold the clan’s honor. He will do nearly anything and everything for the clan. His family has been part of the main branch for many generations and while he sees that the sub branch is somewhat of a cruel system it is one that helps protect their clan and continue its survival. He has seen many members of the sub branch punished in horrific ways by members of the main branch and while he bites his tongue for most of their mistreatment he is waiting for the day that he might be able to have a say in such matters.

He has been known as a person that is rather levelheaded not choosing to rush an enemy. He often takes the time to survey the enemy and size them up and even then after doing that he is often reacting to their attacks rather than being the one to attack first. He finds this strategy helps lure people in closer to him while also giving them much less time to react than normally would. Unlike younger ninja he does not lose his cool right away when something bad happens, he knows death is something that might happen every time he goes out on a mission, and he cannot stop to grieve for every fallen comrade that has died in the midst of a mission.

Yoh’s weakness of a trait is that he does have a bad habit of disobedience. Yoh has been known to go against mission details if he views that there are better alternatives. While this does get him in trouble from time to time over the years he has learned to hold back these urges. No matter what the order is though if it will harm his clan and family in any way Yoh will disregard the order and do what it takes to protect those that he loves and the prized byakugan. In a mission early on in his ninja carrier this landed him in a near death situation which was one of the big reality shocks of his life. This left him a scar that is located on his chin and also prompted him to start to hold back his rouge urges.

Being able to see through most things illusions caused by genjutsu have always been a curiosity of his. They can deceive so many without even giving much of a notice. This has caused him to be somewhat of a scholar taking the time to learn the basics and even a bit advance genjutsu skills. This was originally somewhat of a hobby of his but he learned that knowledge of these skills could help not only him but his team members in the field. Now he seeks to improve these skills to new levels and hopes to be able to find perfect ways to combine genjutsu and taijutsu into one powerful and destructive force.

The last bit of Yoh’s main personality is that he is a dedicated worker and ninja to the village. Ever since Yoh was young he knew that his skills with the clan’s doujutsu was superior to most as was his physical prows. He spent years honing his skills so that they are as sharp as they are now. He often will take time out of his mission schedule to train his body and eyes so that he can unlock more secrets of his clan’s skills and maybe one day teach the future generation of Hyuuga’s these life-saving abilities.

Likes:

  • Yoh is a very much a loyal member of the Hyuuga clan and as such a loyal member he likes and loves all the other members and treats them like they are his immediate family.
  • Yoh finds the human mind’s workings so fascinating. He loves to try to deduce ways people will try to react to situations which has helped him pick up the skills of genjutsu relatively quickly.
  • Dogs are Yoh’s favorite animal, he finds their unconditional love relaxing and peaceful. He currently owns three dogs of his own, Sparky, Zozo, and Lilly, all three are medium sized/larger sized dogs that love to cuddle and sleep with Yoh.

Dislikes:

  • He likes to keep himself well groomed and expects others, mainly in his clan, to do so as well. Though we may live in a world that is always at war we can still look halfway decent.
  • Those that try to harm his clan or village. He honed his skills to stop assholes like them and plans to only devoting more time and energy into his skills to get even stronger!
  • Yoh enjoys nice cool weather, while this does not mean he loves winter and loathes summer, it more means that he enjoys spring and fall with their warm days and cool nights.
    Catch Phrases: Tch, really?
Nindo: Devote your mind and body to your work and anything is possible.

History:
Pre Academy
Yoh entered the academy at the age of five years old but before that he had five whole years to live his life as he wished. But to understand Yoh’s past you must understand the family that he came from. His father, Kian Hyuuga, was a chunin member of the clan that was often times off on missions far away from the village leaving Yoh and his mother to themselves. While he was younger his mother helped teach him basic things about the world in which they lived in. At first this was simple things like math, history, and proper manners but they quickly moved onto other matters like the importance of family and the protection of the clan. She explained to him that the clan only continued on surviving was due to the balance between the main branch and the sub branch. While at this age he could not fully comprehend what all this meant he soaked up his mother’s words like a sponge.

When Yoh’s father would return from missions he would try to spend as much time as possible with his son and wife. He was a cheerful man, in Yoh’s memories he always seemed to be laughing or smiling at Yoh and his antics. When he was three his father started to actually train him using his clan’s special KKG, the byukugan. While at such a young age Yoh could not hold the eye strain for long he would push himself every day to get better and better for his clan’s approval.

Academy Life
Yoh was rather happy to actually get to finally join the academy. Being a cheerful child he was able to quickly draw friends to him and made some close companions that often times got into mischief by sneaking out of class or playing tricks on the teacher. He was a very dedicated student though so most teachers overlooked these things. His scores compared to most the students were much higher and earned him the top spot in his graduating class. His specialty was of course taijutsu but his skills in the mystical art of genjutsu surprised many of the higher ups even those of his family.

The Hyuuga clan members were not really known for their genjutsu skills and one that was so proficient in both tai and gen was a one in a million. When he was finally done with the academy he was nearing the age of nine years old an age that was quite young for most graduates. It was obvious that Yoh was destined to be a great ninja he just only had to keep putting the time and effort into his training. His father at this point in time had been promoted to the rank of jounin and was now gone even longer than ever before leaving little time for him to train Yoh in the Hyuuga arts leaving it to one of the clan’s elders, a female ninja in her mid-sixties by the name of Mrs. Kora Hyuuga.

The Trails of a Genin
Being a rather young genin Yoh was held back on some of the more dangerous missions for the first two years. His sensei was a young jounin by the name of Akitoro from a normal family, no special clan or skills about them. He had risen the ranks on his own sweat and blood and was now one of the more respected ninja of the village. His teammates was the twin female shinobi Laura and Sara Hanarumi. The two girls were about two years ahead of him in age and both gifted in certain fields, Laura was a natural ranged ninjutsu user while Sara was a quick learner on the human body and mastered some of the more advance medical ninja skills. This lead to their little three man squad to be well rounded and ready for most situations.

After a few years of sticking around the village and just doing simple missions the group got the chance to venture to the nearby smaller village, Village of the Wolves, and helped deal with a group of thugs that had taken up in that area. Their sensei decided that the group would spilt into two groups, the tree genin in one group and himself in his own one. He planned on attacking from the front while his three students would go to the rear and attack there with Yoh taking the lead due to his taijutsu skills. As the group made their way to the rear side of the village they only encountered a few bandits that had taken over and none of them seemed to be knowledgeable in jutsu. It was when they reached the backside did Yoh and the others hear a rather large explosion, fearing the worse Yoh used his byakugan to search the village for their sensei.

He was able to pick up the chakra levels of a few that were surrounding Akitoro. One of the chakra signatures around their sensei was so large that it caused Yoh to freeze up, it was then that he realized that they would not have any chance of finishing this mission. Seeing that his sensei was near death as it was Yoh took over and ordered Laura and Sara to retreat back to the village as they would surely die if they stayed there and tried to avenge their master. A group of higher ups went to the village of Wolves and discovered that the bandits here were actually a group of higher ranked missing ninja that had gathered some civilian subordinates. Their master’s body was recovered and the team was soon lead by a new man by the name of Gon.

Chunin Times
Four years after Akitoro was murdered in the Village of Wolves Yoh, Laura, and Sara had signed up to enter the chunin exams. Yoh was now at age fifteen and more than old enough and strong enough to be considered a chunin rank by most, as were Sara and Laura. Their sensei Gon wanted to make sure that his students had a sure chance to getting the rank and wanted to make sure that each had mastered at least one of their skills. Yoh’s taijutsu was now at a level that even some Anbu and Jounin would have trouble dealing with and his skills of lacing genjutsu with it made it even trickier to deal with. Laura’s ninjutsu was devastating she could utilize three elements, earth, wind, and water. She had quickly became one of the strongest genin in the village and could even hold Yoh at bay with her raw power. Sara had forgone most other skills and focused on her medical abilities. This had let her become rather proficient in field healing and while she was not the best in combat her powers of effecting the human body made her a rather pain in the butt to fight.

The exam that year was held in the Wind Country’s Valley of Spires. A massive canyon that was filled with spiked mounds of earth that were as sharp as swords. The way to become a chunin that year was to collect five badges from other ninja’s in the area. They were allowed to group up or go off on their own to earn these badges. While at first the idea of going off on his own Yoh realized that without Sara’s medical skills he could get beat to a pulp and be left for dead and Laura’s ninjutsu to keep people at bay he could be quickly overwhelmed. The three stuck together in the end and entered the bloody mess of a chunin exam.

After spending seven days in the blood bath that was the exam Yoh, Laura, and Sara emerged victorious. They had been covered in multiple cuts and scrapes and Yoh’s left wrist had broken but they had survived and earned their promotion. From this point on the three pushed their limits to even greater levels, they were going to make it to jounin if it killed them!

Life as a Jounin
Shortly after Yoh’s ascension to chunin he was offered by his sensei, Gon, to accompany him and several other members of the jounin class on a mission. They figured his combo of tai and gen might come in handy. Little did Yoh realize that this mission was actually one that would be considered his test to join the rank of jounin at the young age of sixteen years old. The mission was mainly a survey mission but also a recovery mission if they had the chance to do so. There had been a great deal of missing nin that were gathering in the most northern borders of the Land of Fire. These guys had already been found out to have been kidnapping villagers and live stock in the area and were known for robbing those that used the roads. The Leaf Village could not have that occur for too long so they wanted to see the strength of these missing nin for themselves but also wanted to rescue any of the villagers that had been kidnapped.

The party that had been chosen to go on the mission was made up of six people, with two chunin Yoh and another boy by the name of Alex. Each chunin was placed in a group of two jounin. Similar to the mission where his master was killed each of the groups split up with one group handling the front checking the strength of the ninja while the other group went to the back to find the kidnapped villagers. This time though Yoh was placed in the first group due to his sensing skills and raw hand to hand combat skills they thought it be best for him to be up in the front in case any trouble occurred.

The front group was able to discover that nine missing nin all of A rank strength had accumulated in the area and if the scouting party did advance to attack they would suffer casualties. They planned on retreating to a few miles away from the area and wait for back up but before the second group met back up with them they were sensed and attacked. Yoh’s group had an option now follow protocol and head back or engage the enemy. Though it pained Yoh’s heart to leave his fellow villagers he knew that if they charged in their own group was likely to be beat as well due to the sheer number of missing nin in the village. The group headed back to the village but soon was ambushed by three of the missing nin. In an attempt to help his fellow ninja escape and call for backup Yoh and one other of the jounin stayed behind.

The two were able to defeat one of the enemies rather quickly and fluidly without having to waste much chakra. While the other jounin pushed the man to a corner Yoh was able to quickly deliver a set of strong and fast blows that knocked the man out. Now with it being two on two the battle really took off. His enemy was a taijutsu/swordsman wielder that was previously from the Village of Rain. His use of subtle water jutsu mixed with light footwork and raw strength pressed Yoh to his limits but he was able to overcome the man by using genjutsu to get several small chances to strike. After both the enemies were taken care of Yoh and the other jounin retreated and waited for medical ninja to patch them up and back up to help reclaim the village. After the mission was deemed a success Yoh was promoted to the rank of jounin.

Rain was falling hard in the forest. Six figures stood on a branch of a massive tree that was found in the forest of the Land of Fire. The group had been sent to the northern territory of the region to look for a group of bandits that had taken over the area and were robbing from the people. In this group we find a fresh chunin and a hopeful candidate for a promotion of jounin, Yoh Hyuuga.

“Alright we will split up here once we reach the canyon. There will be less cover so stick to the trees if you can, the rainfall should help hide our scents and sounds plus make visual hard for the enemy but we need to assume that they have a sensor type with them.” The man that was talking was the jounin, Gon Sanju, Yoh’s old squad leader and the person running this mission. He was a good man, an excellent teacher, and one hell of a shinobi. “Okay this is how we will break up, Yoh, Jean, and myself will cover the front and scout the area trying to get a guess on their strength. Kaleb, Jamie, and Akita you three will head to the rear side and try to spot any of the kidnapped villagers. If you think it is safe to pursue a rescue then do so but be careful our reports are not too detailed on their strength and numbers. Remember this is primarily a scouting party a group of eight are waiting seven miles south waiting for our signal.

In silence the group nodded in agreement, none of them were planning on risking their lives for this mission, it was not high profile enough for such actions but these missing nin needed to be stopped before their actions harmed the village’s economy or safety. The three members of the other team took off to the west side trying to make a wide arc to the rear so that they would be less likely to be spotted. Yoh, Gon, and Jean moved forward to the break of the forest and canyon area. As they stood in the trees Yoh brought his hands together and focused his chakra to his eyes causing chakra to run through them. This was his clan’s skill, the byakugan. From this height he would have no trouble sensing those that were down below and with this form of sensing it was near impossible to tell that there was somebody watching you.

“Okay Gon, I have visual on eight…erm nine chakra levels down there…” After gaining a number value Yoh started to analyze each of the levels of chakra that is when he noticed that things were not going to be as smooth as they all hoped. “Tch… things do not look good Gon. From what I can tell they are all at least Jounin level chakra levels and it seems some are even higher than others. I think it might be best if we pulled bac-“ Yoh was cut off when he noticed that the chakra signatures below started breaking apart and five of them started to head towards the rear area of the canyon. The other group must have been spotted somehow. “They have been spotted! Five of the missing nin chakra’s are heading towards the other squad. “ Yoh looked over to the man who was crouched down on the branch rubbing between his eyes. “Damn it, I did not think they would have been spotted so quickly, I hoped with Jamie’s sensory skills she would know how close they needed to get.”

Gon bit his lip and stood up. “So five have went after the other group leaving four down there all jounin level? Now that they know there is a group over there they will probably suspect that there is others around here.” He slammed his closed fist into the tree’s base. “Damn it, we got to pull back. Yoh keep up your byakugan they might chase us. We need to get to the back up group and have them come here too or we will be overran. I will lead, Yoh you stay in the back and Jean move to the middle. Yoh if you sense any of those other four moving you let us know right away. Understood? Then move out!” Yoh was not happy about leaving the other three behind but he knew that this was the protocol and that this was the best chance survival for them three and the villagers below. They took off into the trees at full speed trying to reach the backup as fast as possible. Before they even covered a mile Yoh picked up the movement of three behind them. "Tch. Yo Gon three incoming eastern angle and they are moving in fast."
