The sound of wooden sticks clacking together filled the small area. There was 20 children in total paired up in twos going tit-for-tat with each other. Amongst them was a towering figure dressed in all black. Though not his typical attire, Gambaldi preferred to dress comfortably when he was tasked with training academy students, explaining the jogging pants and black t-shirt. He strode around the group of students bare foot, correcting forms or offering words of encouragement. Never to much of either, though. The lessons being that one most strive to be the best. Kumogakure could never count on anyone who aimed for less than that. Watching these students reminded Gambaldi of this fact, being that these would be the kids that shape the future Kumogakure.

The shriek of pain snapped Gambaldi out his zone as he turned to see one of the students on the ground. The young girl was in tears holding her face while her partner, another young girl, looked on with an apologetic expression. This made everyone stop their training as they looked on to see what happened. Gambaldi approached the girl on the ground, squatting down so that he was eye level with her. He said nothing ar first, simply moved her hand so he could see the damage. There was a huge red bruise spanning from chin to ear, a clean hit. "I'm sorry, Raionhato-sensei," the standing girl said. Gambaldi glanced back at her to see the shame in her face, turning back to the injured girl he responded, "You did nothing wrong, Kasha. This is training and injuries will happen." He stood up, helping the injured girl to her feet, "You must try harder, Rayne. As easily as that hit got through, imagine if it had been an actual blade. It only takes one mistake to lose your life, let this pain be a reminder of that. That goes for all of you. Learn from your mistakes and the mistakes of others." He looked at the faces of his students, seeing the fire in their eyes as they nodded to show understanding. Looking back toward Rayne, the injured student, she had already wiped away her tears and picked up her practice stick. Gambaldi help but smile as he gave the command to continue.

What started as a simple morning of training, ended around sunset. The students, though bruised and battered, walked toward their homes full of vigor. Only one had remained to continue practicing, the young student Rayne. Rather than take off, Gambaldi decided to wait until all his students had gone home. He found a seat on a large boulder then proceeded to pull out a blunt. His back was to the sun casting a shadow on his dedicated student as she practiced her swing and movements. Apparently his words had carried more weight than he knew. He let her go on for a bit longer, until the sun was gone leaving only its footprints in the sky. "Your not tired yet, kid," he said, taking the final hit of the blunt he'd been smoking. He flicked it away and leapt off the boulder. Rayne looked at her sensei, breathing heavily from fatigue though doing her best to hide it. "I'm fine, Raionhato-Sensei. I'm not tired at all." Gambaldi laughed at the statement as he approached, "Of that I'm sure. However, its getting late and you should be heading home. Resting is also an important of training little one. You can pick up tomorrow." "But Sensei-," she began but immediately was interrupted by Gambaldi. "It's not negotiable. Go home and rest, kid. Tend to that bruise." She frowned at Gambaldi who only returned the look with a smirk as he nodded his head towards the way exit. She put down the training stick and began to walk away, bowing before she was completely out of sight.

"Kids," he said aloud as he picked up the training stick. He gave it a few practice swings, the same basics he had just taught to the academy students. He was immediately reminded of his younger brother and how the two would train with stick similar to these, before even becoming a shinobi. Hayato was always the reckless one when it came to fighting, swinging at such odd angles that few could match his skill. Gambaldi own style, while not traditional, showed more focus and precision. The two styles had always complemented each other, so much so that they were called "The Black Lions" for there ferocity in battle. Now Hayato was dead and his body never recovered, leaving only one "Black Lion" in Kumogakure. His fist tightened around the handle of the wooden weapon then, all at once, he let it go. He had his duties still and the eternal debt he owed Kumo for taking him in as one of their own. Skillfully tossing the stick into the rack, Gambaldi left the area, "I need a drink," he said aloud though to himself. He had some time to kill before he went on about other business. "Sake sounds good right about now."

Kimura silently moved through the village not paying attention to those around him. Though this was probably the first time in a long time that Kimura wasn’t fully in his Anbu uniform with his mask and everything cover his face so that people could not see him.  As right now Kimura felt like just being a normal member of the village, as he was always busy doing Anbu Captain Work and never got the time to just relax. Especially since he had just got back from the village hidden in the Mist after being sent by the Raikage to try and do some random mission that Kimura still was not one hundred percent sure what he was supposed to do, or even if he could count the mission as a success. But none of that mattered to Kimura right now for the most part. As for now he was going to check out the village like a normal person for once and just see how things were for the people.

Since looking down and watching them from roofs and through the use of his bugs was not the same as actually walking around and interacting with them. Plus right now Kimura wasn’t really trying to find out any information, other than the well beings of the people. Since it was just good manner to see how everyone was doing especially those who helped Kimura rise to the rank and position he is now. Cause without some of the people here Kimura would not be the FireFly of the lightning like he is today. Kimura’s first stop on his little tour of the village would be the house of an older couple that use to always give Kimura snacks and food after he was done doing long trainings. They were probably one of his biggest motivations as they even taught him a few secrets to help him better himself in the art of the sword.

And it would make Kimura glad to see that the old couple was still together and lively as ever, instantly recognizing him as the little boy they remembered from those years ago, and after having a nice conversation Kimura would make his way to probably the biggest stop of the day. It would be a small dojo that taught mainly Academy students the art of the sword. Though Kimura was not sure if his sensei was still the one that was in charge of it, just going to see it after all these years would be nice. And when Kimura did go to see he it, he would notice that it’s class was way bigger than his was back when he attended the dojo. As it was now a class of at least 20 students getting instructed by a sensei that was not Kimura’s. But a man that Kimura knew very well, as this man was none other than Gambaldi the Black Lion of Kumo, one of Kimura’s fellow Anbu members.  So Kimura figured that he would surprise him and wait at the door until he left.

He hadn't gotten far before he could sense the presence of one of his fellow Anbu, the captain to be exact. A young man who rose through the ranks at such a rate that many called the man a genius. Just a year ago the two shared rank and now the young man was his captain. Most would feel bitter about such a rise in rank, but Gambaldi didn't bother over such things. He'd shed blood with his captain on numerous missions and knew full well how capable the man was. Though a bit on the melancholy side, Tosen was no different from Gambaldi. Explaining perhaps why the two got along so well. The ex-slave and orphan boy.

As he reached the exit, Gambaldi stopped right in front of Tosen. "Keirei, captain. You finally made it back," he said without looking in the anbu captain's direction, "And here I was thinking I would need to come rescue your ass from Kiri. I hear they so strange things to fireflies around those parts." He laughed at the end of his statement, as he normally did whenever he told a joke; regardless if he was the only one laughing. "I was on my way to get a drink, before heading out to see the Raikage. You game?" Though he asked, Gambaldi didn't wait for a response. He continued walking, heading toward a nearby stand not far from the training area. The place sold all sorts of food and beverages, but it was famed for its sake that they sold in the evening. It was a frequent haunt of many high ranked shinobi sense they were the only ones around the training area this late. "It's on me, by the way. I know your a penny-pincher."

Tosen would be standing at the door as Gambaldi made his way to exit. Instantly he would be noticed by his fellow Anbu, though it would take a blind man not to notice Tosen. As he was standing right out in the opening for a chance, and it felt a little strange. Considering that Tosen had come accustomed to using the shadows to hide himself from others and stay well out of the sight of people. As that was the way of the Anbu.  So this felt completely unaccustomed to Tosen, but he felt that he should start to act like a normal ninja for once and do normal things within the village. Like see the sites of the village or well just talk to the other people of the village.  And Gambaldi would be a good start to make more friends for Tosen. Considering the fact that they already had a relationship in the Anbu, as being brothers of the field of battle.

Gambaldi would proceed to make a joke to Tosen, about how he thought he was going to have to come save him from the land of the mist. Somewhat amusing Kimura though he was glad that he was out of that forsaken land now. Considering Kimura was not one who was very fond of all of the water and the strange culture that the lands of the mist had. Gambaldi would even go to state that he heard  the people of the mist do strange things to Fireflies which would be a good play of words considering that Tosen was not only known for using his clan Fireflies for combat, but also nicknamed Firefly. This would be able to put a slight smirk on Tosen face a Gambaldi continued to walk past him. Tosen and Gambaldi would then make way to a stand that sold Sake that Gambaldi wanted to get, and since he offered to buy Kimura a drink as well he figure that he might as well go. An without saying a word Tosen would silently follow Gambaldi.

After making his way to the stand, Gambaldi noticed Tosen had went off on his own. This was nothing out the ordinary for the captain, with a simple shrug Gambaldi went on as planned. He ordered gis sake and mingled with the few shinobi there, likely taking a break from training, before taking his leave of the place. He headed home so he could start gathering his things for his planned vacation. After he finished his early morning training session with the academy atudents, he would hit the road. Since he had no pressing business in the village, he doubted any of the higher ups would mind.

Exit.
