Erwin's Starting Weapons/Items 4fsc

Name: Erwin's Samurai Officer Wakizashi
Type: Blade
Appearance: ((Appearance Image Link)) 6.5 inch handle. 18.75 inch blade. 1.5 lb weight.
Rank: A
Special Abilities: Chakra Flow Efficiency: Due to the high conductivity of the materials that make up this blade the effort that the wielder has to put into forming and using chakra flow based techniques (Samurai Sabre Technique bursts, Flash, Rupture, etc.) is reduced, therefore reducing the cost of these techniques by 1 rank. ((I'm unsure what a C-Rank reduction would be so I'm leaving that up for debate with whomever grades this.)) This does not affect standard bukijutsu techniques, only those with visible chakra flow and ranged chakra attacks.
Origin: These blades are highly prized possessions within the Land of Iron and are only handed out to some of the highest ranking officers within the samurai army. The rare chakra conductive materials they're forged from are highly regulated by the military and only a select few smiths are skilled enough to work with them. The entire process from start to finish takes roughly three months to complete each blade and can require the skilled hands of up to ten people across all stages of the process. Each stage of the blade making process has it's own specialist, as well as specialists that make the sheath, hilt, and tsuba. Due to the rarity of it's materials only officers of the rank Captain and above possess one of these blades, and only the two highest ranking officers (General and Lieutenant General) may possess two. Erwin earned his blade after being promoted to Captain of the S.O.A.R. division.

The quality of these blades almost guarantees that they will outlast their wielder, however due to these blades being designed specifically for their wielders they aren't redistributed upon their owners passing. There a few things that could happen to one of these blades after their owner dies, the most common being the deconstruction and reuse of salvageable materials, but if the wielder requests they may be buried with it, providing recovery of both the blade and the body is possible. Another possible outcome is for the blade to be immortalized in the Land of Iron's capital museum, but this only happens with the General and Lieutenant General's blades and individual officers of exceptional note.
Materials used: Highly chakra conductive titanium cobalt alloy. Chakra conductive cloth. Chakra conductive wood.
Total Price: Free starting medium blade with C-Rank special for Buki Mastery.

Name: Erwin's Sabre: Mark #6
Type: Blade
Appearance: ((Visual Aid)) An atypical design for a samurai but one of Erwin's personal preference, similar to a cavalry or heavy sabre and designed specifically for one handed use. 5 1/2 inch handle. 36 inch blade. 2.5 lbs weight.
Rank: A
Special Abilities: N/A
Origin: Originally part of a six piece set Erwin had commissioned over his years in the Land of Iron this blade is the last reminder of Erwin’s military career before becoming an officer, apart from his scars at least. Erwin first started using sabres while he was in the Future Officer’s Program where every “student” was required to master numerous types of weapons, particularly different styles of blades. Sabres simply happened to be Erwin’s preference of blade, nothing more nothing less. The first blade in the set, Mark #1, was simply the blade he graduated the Future Officers Program with, and shortly after being inducted into S.O.A.R. Mark #2 was commissioned. The quality of each blade within the set increased with each new commission as Erwin’s rank, as well as his paycheck, increased. Mark #6 being the best in the set obviously.

However, simply because he commissioned a new blade regularly didn’t mean Erwin discarded the previous one. With every bladed added to the set he added one additional “link” to what became known as “chain iaido” amongst Erwin’s comrades, a twist on the iaido fighting style that became his signature method of combat before his exile. Sadly with Mark #6 as the only remaining blade in the set Erwin’s “chain iaido” capabilities have taken a rather big hit, but at least they left him with the best out of the set. It’s not like these blades were made of anything extremely rare like those that are given to high ranking samurai officers, so rebuilding his arsenal is only a matter of earning the money and finding a skilled blacksmith.
Materials used: Titanium steel alloy. Wear resistant cloth. Temperature treated wood.
Total Price: Free starting long blade for Buki Mastery.

Name: Erwin's Flak Jacket
Type: Vest/Armor
Appearance: ((Visual Aid)) Erwin’s jacket is similar to the one shown in the picture only dark gray in color and without the neck-guard. Typically worn over an undershirt but under his jacket.
Rank: A
Protection: This armor protects the user from D rank Tai, C rank and below Ninjutsu, and repels against any type of projectile. However the armor only protects the chest and back of the wielder.
Total Price: Free Flak Jacket for Jounin.

Approved unless stated otherwise. Reduction for a C would be a D, by the way.
