The length of the weapon, from the bottom of the hilt to the tip of the blade, is seven feet.

Special Abilities: The wielder of this weapon, so long as they have chakra, can lengthen the sword, sacrificing durability for length. The sword can extend indefinitely, but each foot extended costs 10 chakra. This decreases with bukijutsu bonuses, as if it were a jutsu. Each two feet extended drops the durability of this weapon by a rank.
Origin: The original idea came about through fuinjutsu. Unlike many ninjutsu, Fuinjutsu were meant to be fixed in size and position, regardless of chakra used. At least, that was what Kuro had been taught. As such, when he realized it was actually possibly to alter the size of a seal, using chakra to expand and contract the size, he created this sword to mimic that ability, giving him the edge (no pun intended). The sword was originally a gift from someone he spared. One could call this a bribe, but one Kuro got the gift, he became dissatisfied with its normality. Why would he want a normal sword when he could make one that made all others simply stare in envy? Indeed, he wanted a weapon, but he wanted a weapon which was befitting his status of "Psychosis". That, and an extending sword sounded awesome.

With the right application of seals, used with a form of chakra he had not ever seen until that point, the blade quickly became Kuro's favorite method of execution, unless one counts ripping the heart directly out of the chest as an execution, then it was only his second favorite. What Kuro did not know was that the chakra he had was a primitive form of Magnet Release. This is what gives the sword its ability to contract after it is expanded, as well as keep its general form. The man who gave him the sword was actually attempting to master Magnet release when Kuro fought him, but he had only implemented a small portion of chakra into his blade, which Kuro later used to fuel his sword's ability. Thankfully, it feeds off of Kuro's chakra, leaving the power of the sword undamaged by use.
