Looks Description:Satoshi looks like many boys his age, despite his shinobi training.  He stands at an average 5'3" for someone his age and his weight remains healthy.  From a purely physical stand point he doesn't look much different than anyone else.  If anything he may even look a little meek.  Having never put much effort into his Taijutsu training his body is about what you would expect from someone who preferred other forms of combat.  Throughout the Academy he has only maintained the bare minimum physical exercise he needed to pass the exams for graduation.  This coupled with his young age has left his body a long way from being from what one might expect of a shinobi.  His arms and legs aren't particularly defined nor does he have any pectoral muscles to speak of. He is deceptively a little stronger than a regular civilian his age, but not by much.  Since much of his time was spent in doors his skin is a pale creamy white, lacking any tan.  Glasses and a boyish hair cut with slightly long bangs completes the look.

For attire Satoshi wears a compromise between maneuverability and protection against the elements.  As a shinobi the fewer restrictions on his movements the better.  However, as a citizen of Kirigakure a combination of the fog and damp air can often leave clothes a little wet despite not withstanding any rain.  As such Satoshi tends to wear clothes that both keep him warm and dry as well as allow him the freedom of movement he needs.  For a top Satoshi often wears two layers.  The first layer is a blue turtleneck that matches his hair color.  The turtleneck allows him to stay relatively warm, but the cloth is thin enough that it won't suffocate him.  Above that is a vest with a hood.  The vest is a dark brown in color with two front pouches to store items and a zipper for ease.  The hood can be drawn up over his head in the event of rain.  On the left arm over his turtleneck is where Satoshi's headband is now proudly displayed.

For bottoms Satoshi wears simple shorts in matching colors to the vest.  The shorts cut off just past the knees with some bandages wrapped around the right leg.  These bandages protect his leg so that the hip pouch strapped there doesn't cut into his flesh while moving.  To complete the ensemble Satoshi wears the standard sandals worn by many shinobi in the same color as vest and shorts.  These sandals are tough enough to protect his feet while giving his feet a chance to breathe.

Personality Description: Satoshi is an intelligent, if perhaps a little naive, young man.  His mind has been sharpened by years of patient study of the human anatomy and his shinobi training.  To become skilled in Genjutsu and Ijutsu Satoshi needed to strengthen his mind even more so than his own body.  This intelligence not only allows him to break down a situation as he sees it, but gives him the serenity of mind to quickly adapt to whatever changes may be going on in his environment.  For Satoshi planning on is everything.  Given his talents in Genjutsu and Sensory Jutsu Satoshi is a patient personality preferring to gather data, formulate a plan, and lay out some sort of execution of that plan that will give his team the advantage.  At times this mentality can even be a fault robbing him of any opportunistic chances as he defers to take a more planned and longer route.  Some of this comes from the naïveté of being still a young Genin.  Having only recently graduated from the Academy Satoshi has yet to make any of the harsher mission critical decisions that many of the more advanced Shinobi must come to do at some point in their career.  He still has hopes that everyone on his team will always be able to come back from a mission unharmed.

Satoshi may be naive, but his personality and the role he forces himself to play in any team does give some credence to his naiveté.  Whereas a lot of young Genin his age would be a little brash and focus on making themselves accomplished leaders Satoshi prefers a more supportive role.  Rather than stand in the spotlight Satoshi would rather sit back and let others take the glory.  He isn't adverse to confrontation and recognition, but he doesn't seek it out either preferring to be more reserved.  Almost every area of expertise he has come to focus on strengthens the support he can provide to others.  Rather than directly deal with an enemy he would rather aid his allies healing the wounded or momentarily distracting an enemy with Genjutsu so that a teammate can make the finishing blow.  By being the ultimate teammate Satoshi further believes he can accomplish the hope of bringing everyone back alive and in one piece.

Satoshi feels a strong sense of loyalty to the village.  It is a trait he learned from his mother, a retired shinobi of the village.  He understands that there are many individuals, like his father, who live within the village who aren't shinobi.  Those civilians rely on the shinobi of the village to not only protect them, but to bring in commerce and keep the economy flowing with the missions they perform.  Because of such Satoshi takes great pride in the fact that he serves such a purpose for the village; even if that purpose for now is only to complete D-Rank missions.  Although he has a strong moral compass his loyalty to the village is practically absolute and it is difficult to say how he would react to a mission that conflicted with such or what it would even take to undermine his loyalty.  In time the still inexperienced Genin might just find out.

History: Satoshi was born to two loving parents.  The product of a retired Chuunin woman and a Civilian village resident.  His childhood was rather blessed when in comparison to the difficulties of others.  His mother had served the village faithfully as a shinobi until an injury forced her into retirement.  It was through her that Satoshi learned of the importance the shinobi had in protecting the village and bringing in commerce through the missions they completed for the village.  His father served as a doctor within the village running his own clinic for those who didn't have the privilege or the ryo to rely on the medical Ijutsu specialists of the village.  Through his father Satoshi learned how important the ordinary residents where to the village and the role they played.  Not only did they give the shinobi something worth protecting, but they offered the village many of the services and professions that the shinobi just didn't have the time to perform.  The duality of his raising allowed him to learn the importance of the symbiotic relationship and gave him the best of both worlds.

Satoshi did have a few friends growing up, but his reserved nature always prevented him from being the outgoing social type.  Instead the young boy spent much of his childhood inside, helping in his father's clinic.  At the beginning Satoshi was still too young to understand much so like any good child he simply watched serving as a pretend receptionist for those waiting.  As he got older though he took a more active role in the clinic.  With the help and instruction of his father he began to learn more about the human anatomy and even served as a nurse assisting his father in basic medical practices.  Although he was still too young to assist in any surgeries he was allowed to watch and add that knowledge to his own studies.  Between his hands on learning and his individual studying, utilizing the books on medicine and human anatomy his father owned, Satoshi became very knowledgeable on the field.  In fact when he entered the Academy his knowledge would eventually impress some of the medical shinobi specialists who were friends of his parents.  Some of which would take him on during that time and teach him the basics and the beginnings of advance knowledge in Ijutsu.

Although his mother attempted to have a very hands off approach in Satoshi's decision to enroll in the Academy it was inevitably her role in his life that was the deciding factor for the boy.  Satoshi held a lot of love for the clinic his father ran and on more than one occasion he was tempted to merely stay by his father's side and continue on as an assistant.  However, hearing the pride in his mother's voice as she spoke about her time as a shinobi inspired him to try and follow in her footsteps.  Despite her forced retirement, an injury that made it difficult for her to walk let alone run and fight, she held no ill will for the world of the shinobi and wished she could have done more.  Satoshi too wanted to feel that sort of pride and he felt as if the clinic would be waiting for him after he had done his part for the village.  Since his mother had restrained herself Satoshi hadn't really learned much of the basics for a shinobi until after he had already enrolled.  Once enrolled though his mother took an active approach in reinforcing the lessons the boy learned in the academy.  Realizing that his personality and talents made direct confrontation difficult for Satoshi she was the one who taught him the basics of Genjutsu and allowed him to further specialize in it.  Genjutsu alongside the Ijutsu he had begun to learn once enrolled allowed him to best support his future teammates without directly putting himself in harm's way.  His patient mind set and calculating thought process made utilizing the Genjutsu all the more effective.

Between Satoshi's studious manner and the aid of both his parents it wasn't difficult for the hopeful shinobi to make it through the Academy.  Although his talents with Ninjutsu were fairly basic the boy had learned enough to do all that was required of him to graduate.  It was actually his instructor who understanding his talents with Ijutsu and Genjutsu taught him the basics of Sensory Jutsu.  Given his skill set his instructor had felt it would be beneficial for Satoshi to be able to preemptively gain knowledge of the whereabouts of his enemies in order to best construct ambush points for his illusions.  Now a Genin Satoshi awaits to be placed in an official team.  He is unsure how far in the shinobi hierarchy someone of his talents can rise, but he looks forward to sharpening his skills while aiding in the village in whatever means necessary.
RP Sample: A bead of sweat rolled lazily down Satoshi’s forehead forcing him to wipe it away before it got into his eyes and blurred his vision.  The earpiece attached to his head only gave the crackle of static as his other Genin continued their radio silence.  The team was a temporary one.  A unit thrown together and given their first D-Ranked mission in order to assess their strengths and abilities.  Once evaluated they would reassigned, placed in teams that could better utilize their skill sets.  That is what was causing Satoshi to sweat in that moment.  It wasn’t the difficulty of the mission, it was a D-Rank after all, it was the importance to his future it represented.

The knot of worry over his mission only dwelled in his thoughts for a moment longer.  It vanished as the static vanished, replaced by a teammate’s voice.  “Got sight of the target in sector Alpha.”  With a destination provided Satoshi was on the move.  He ran silently along, another Genin appearing from the shadows several yards away and moving in a parallel direction.  In a few short minutes he was hidden once more in another copse of trees.  The others of his team were so well hidden that he couldn’t even make out where they were.  Having secured a location that gave him clear view of the entire sector Satoshi began to mold his Chakra and performed a few handseals.  As he did so movement from a nearby bush caught his attention.  He strained his vision, focusing on the one point to make out their target.

As if coaxed by his need a small dog came tumbling out of the bush, having seemingly just done its business.  Its little paws kicked up dirt and grass in the direction where he had just relieved himself.  Its collar was studded and in the intricate design that had been described to them in their mission briefing, this was certainly the target.  The pure white fur had been spoiled by the mud and dirt of the area and the fine grooming it was supposed to have was similarly ruined by the damp atmosphere surrounding Kirigakure.  However, the mission only called for the target to be returned unharmed, not clean.

The dog paced around for a bit, as if unsure where it would go next or what adventure it would embark on now.  Satoshi couldn’t allow it to leave though it had already taken too long to find the animal in the first place.  The Chakra that he had been molding was finally ready.  The Genin completed the final hand seal and whispered the words, “Cat Genjutsu.”  Satoshi watched as the dog fell helpless to his Genjutsu immediately.  It began to growl and bark as it was surrounded by countless cats.  Despite their numbers the proud animal didn’t back off, even going so far as to pounce and snap at a few of them.  Satoshi ensured that none of the cats actually moved to attack the target.  They were simple illusions and could do no physical harm any way, but he didn’t want to cause the target any stress beyond what was necessary.

With the illusion complete he spoke to his teammates, “Move now.”  The shinobi having already known of his plan beforehand moved in.  The dog was so distracted by his hated enemy that he didn’t even smell or pick up on the approach of the others.  The others effortlessly leashed the animal preventing any escape.  With the capture complete Satoshi’s illusion disappeared and the group began to make their way back to the village.  The entire time Satoshi wondered how they fared in the eyes of whatever shinobi had been most likely watching them that entire time.
