Mysterious Stranger ~Private with Sanroku~

Description: This mission will be posted on a random bulletin like board on the outskirts of your village, sort of as a warning to traveling people. "There an unfamiliar person lurking around the outskirts of our village. Figure out what they are doing and report the information to the authorities."

Shizuku was told by a couple of village higher ups that he would go to the main entrance of the Thunder Plains that was the main route to it from Kumogakure and wait for another shinobi who would accompany him on a mission that involved gathering information on a stranger that has been located around the village outskirts, the most recent spots being the Thunder Plains.

Shizuku would be waiting for the other shinobi at the entrance of the plains, he had never met this shinobi before but then again he didn't know a lot of the other shinobi in the village except for the elders and higher ups because of the fact that he was trained on his own from the village.

Shizuku was dressed in black cloak that stopped at his knees and was zipped from the top to his waist, revealing his grey shinobi styled pants and grey combat boots.
The hood of the cloak was down, this revealed his shoulder blade length blue hair, the hair appearing 'mane' like, with his hair brushed back and two strips of the hair framing his face and dangling to his chest. The part between his ears and the dangling pieces of hair also revealed his elf like pointed ears. He was a fairly handsome young boy with gold cat like eyes and a 'X' shaped scar between his eyes.

As he waited, the sun began to vanish from view and the moon began to rise and stars started to shine. Since this was some what of a stealth mission, they were told the night would be a better time for this job.
As he waited, he figured the other ninja should show up some time soon.

Sanroku was assigned a mission by the Kumogakure authority knowing that he is a mission extraordinaire. The young shinobi is put into a team of two and for the first time in his shinobi career he was assigned a partner to combat with. Sanroku having dreams and aspiration of becoming ANBU knew surely that he will be working in unison someday to produce powerful jutsus and this team related mission is supposed to help Sanroku gain social skills before joining any other rank. Being young and so dedicated in the shinobi lifestyle does not go well with making friends, so Sanroku doesn’t have many and actually, doesn’t know any shinobi of his rank nor of his age. This mission was again, assigned to him mostly to fix that problem.

As soon as Sanroku arrived to the mission site, he noticed a tall shinobi wearing black with blue hair and an X shaped scar in his face. Sanroku didn’t do anything extravagant when entering the region but instead he walked ahead slightly serious faced while saying, “So you are my Teammate in this mission?” Once Sanroku arrived he took out his hand to shake his and said, “You lead the way.”

Shizuku looked the ally up and down, he seemed more than capable to be an ally. Shizuku would then smile slightly and shake the boys hand back. "Shizuku Nero is the name." He said while shaking the boys hand. After being instructed to lead the way, Shizuku would release his grip on the boys hand and turn to the direction of the valley. He would then begin to walk, with the other shinobi following him. His long blue hair, flowing behind him.

While walking, he spoke in a calm voice. "It's suspected that this ominous stranger has made his home at one of the abandoned huts in the Thunder valley. We are to see what the stranger is up too. Without him catching us, preferably. If he does though, we might have to fight." While walking, a small beaten up hut could be seen in the distance. A lantern light could be seen shining from the old window of the hut.
Shizuku stopped about 25 meters away from the straw roofed hut and spoke.
"Any ideas on how to go about this?" He asked in a some what sarcastic voice. He figured a plan was needed before getting any closer.

When Sanroku heard the shinobis name he couldn't help but just retain the name Nero, since the young shinobi isn't one to clutter his memory, instead wanting to remember those things that are necessary. Nevertheless this isnt to say that Sanroku is going to forget his allies name since he is certain that this isn't going to be the first time Sanroku will hear of it, so he will just store it in his deep in his memory bank. "My name is Sanroku." After the greeting, Nero led the way while speaking about the mission detail. Sanroku thought this was an interesting mission, and quite ANBU - like, just like he likes it. So when Nero also spoke about keeping identities secret during this mission, it was obvious that this was going to be stealth work. Sanroku and his teammate stopped 25 meters away from a hut that was the obvious location of the intruder, due to the lighting. Nero then asked Sanroku how to go about the mission, in which Sanroku responded by saying. "We should find a way to get close enough to look through the window. It appears like that is our only mission anyways. We can then tell the authorities what this guy is up to afterward, but first, if this really is a hostile shinobi chances are that he set up some sort of trap or barrier to either protect him or give him a warning that some one is nearing his hideout." The young shinobi then looked at Nero and asked, "How do you suspect we should go about this, and are you a sensor?" Not worrying much about the fact because Kumogakure shinobi are filled with weapon specialist and one cool thing about weapon specialists are that they have a keen eye, especially for set traps.

Shizuku would nod his head in agreement with the other shinobi, looking through the window would be a good start but chances are that the man would not leave his camp unprotected, even if it seemed weak. The traps could be weak, but if they can just buy him a little time to get away, that would be all he needed.

When the man asked if Shizuku was a sensor, Shizuku nodded slightly. "I am, but I'm not extremely good at it. I can only sense familiar presences at the moment." Shizuku claimed.
After staring at the building for a moment, Shizuku would take a deep breath and then speak out of a silence.
"Let's just try to get close." He would say in a calm voice.


Shizuku would then begin to dash towards the shed, although he running he was moving silently. Shizuku was very alert at the moment. Looking around while running, keeping his eyes ready to spot a trap. He wished his sensory skills would've been more handy at the moment.

When Nero told Sanroku his plan on how to go about this mission, to Sanrokus eyes, it seemed appropriate. If Nero didnt think his sensor abilities was in par with being able to detect the traps, then Sanroku can't say nothing against, since Nero is the one to know his own power and this is the first time the two shinobi meet. So when it was stated that all the two shinobi should do is to get close to the window and somehow trust our instinct to react to traps or see and disarm them, Sanroku knew that this was the only chance the two of them had. Nero was the one to begin running, while Sanroku followed suit. Although Sanroku wasn't following Nero in plain sight, instead using his Shadowing Stealth Ninja Technique in order to stay behind his teammate unnoticed in case the enemy was to come out attack, then at least Sanroku can have the element of surprise on his side.

Sanroku was going from one hiding spot to another, keeping up nearly perfectly with Nero. In Sanrokus mind, Sanroku had the idea to let Nero accomplish this mission in plain sight while Sanrokku will stay behind the scenes keeping a watchful eye. While Nero is focused on the mission objective, Sanroku will be focused in protecting his ally. In order to keep Nero running forward to pick up speed, Sanroku was primarily focused on the traps set. It was true what Nero said, these traps should indeed be weak, since any powerful trap set would alert the Kumogakure ANBU in no time. So Sanroku believed that most of these traps will in fact be projectile based, meaning handheld weapons will be used as the form of attack. Seeing as Sanroku is a shurikenjutsu specialist, he will keep a few kunai in hand in order to deflect those that shot out at his ally. Then it was observed that Nero stepped on a ninja wire that was set up as what appeared to be a trigger. 5 Kunai were shot quickly and each targeting Nero, but Sanroku was prepared for this so he took his weapons and redirected the kunai being shot in order to let Nero run without thinking twice about the threat. The reason Sanroku was putting all of his hopes into Nero is because the mission is for them to see what the intruder is doing in order to tell the authorities. They dont both have to witness it, it just has to be witnessed.

Shizuku was impressed for a slight moment at the team work him and this new face had together. Shizuku's job was to complete the mission while the other covers him. It was this type of trust that made shinobi great, they devised a plan without even really speaking of it.
As Shizuku ran, the wire trap went off, it wasn't a wire to trip him though. Instead, when the wire was stepped on it launched the trap. Although, Sanroku reacted quickly and protected him from each of the projectiles. Shizuku smirked slightly when he realized what Sanroku did.

After this, Shizuku arrived beside the window of the hut where the light came from a controlled flame. Shizuku would lean slowly out of the corner of the window, the tension was in the air. While looking, Shizuku's eyes grew wide.
"It's a fake!" Shizuku said out loud. In the window was a bundle of straw tied together to look like a man.

Just as he said this, a man dashed out from behind the hut towards Shizuku and launched four shuriken at Shizuku. The unexpected time wouldn't allow for Sanroku to react for Shizuku. Shizuku had to protect his own skin this time. Not many people knew about Shizuku's 'gift'. One of the reasons he was trained privately, he was a member of thought to be near extinct clan. As Sanroku would soon learn.

As the shuriken came at Shizuku, he swing both of his arms in front of him in an elegant manner. He didn't seemed concerned at all by the attack. As he swung his arms, 10 white objects fired from his fingers and launched at the shuriken and the man. All of the shuriken were deflected and struck the ground instead of Shizuku, while the other six white small objects skinned the man on his face and arms. Just barely grazing him. As the white objects that hit the shurikens hit the ground, Sanroku would be able to look this fast moving objects. The white objects appeared to be his finger tip bones. Shizuku apparently fired his finger tips out of his hands like bullets. The sound of Shizuku's skin regrowing where the holes on his finger tips would fill the silence.

The unusual man looked in awe at the blue haired boy known as Shizuku.
"H-how?!" He asked. This man was obviously not a very skilled shinobi. His shuriken attacks were sloppy. Amateur at best.

Shizuku just stared at him with great intent.
"I grazed you on purpose."
Shizuku would notice a large bag of money strapped to the man's back as well. He was very bandit looking.
Shizuku would then point one finger at the man, threatening to fire his unusual finger technique again. "I assume you didn't gain the money in a respective manner, huh?" He said sarcastically. It was safe to assume that the 'ominous man' was just a common thief who has worked up a large sum of money.

The man would laugh and then reach for his pocket and quickly throw a flash bomb at the ground. The bright flash would blind everyone for a moment, when cleared though the bandit money taker would be gone.

Shizuku was slightly mad he got away, although they did accomplish the mission. They know what he looks like and what he has been doing. He's been stealing money from the locals and travelers.
Shizuku would speak aloud when he vanished.
"Damn, he got away. Oh well, the village can handle the rest. We accomplished our mission." He claimed to Sanroku. He imagined Sanroku would have questions of the weird body jutsu that Shizuku used or what they should do now.

Sanroku was still in hiding when the man showed his face. It was apparently clear that the bandit believed it was just him and Nero in the area at the moment since he only attacked him, but Sanroku still didnt come out since he didnt want to leave his post unnecessarily when he also believes that Nero can handle himself.  To Sanrokus surprise, Nero used a never before seen [by him of course] technique. Sanroku is awfully young so he hasn't been in the shinobi world for too long, so  kekkei genkais are still a thing of question for him. Seeing Nero shoot what appeared to be white bullets from his fingers tips. The young shinobi was still in pondering the fighting style just witnessed and seen as the bandit made himself a getaway. Sanroku seen a chance to catch the thief but instead, purposely missed the opportunity as he seen the thief flee for his own selfish reasons. He wanted to know what it was he just witnessed, and now that the mission is completed, it can be reported back to HQ while the two of them can have a talk.
