Jenova was around the age of 14 at this time. Iwagakure was still a very beautiful land, the sun would begin to rise in the sky as the birds began to chirp and the village people began their daily duties. Hunting, shopping, selling, etc. While ninja monitored, left for missions, attended meetings, taught their students, etc.
Jenova was especially excited about today, today was the day that her father promised her he would teach her her families secret technique, The Shi Family Chakra Blast. It was a simple technique, but it was nice to be recognized as such a real ninja in the family that her family wanted to teacher her a family jutsu or technique.
Jenova would hop out of bed, her sockless feet slapping against her wood floor. She would quickly get dressed. Her attire at this age consisted of a tan kimono type shirt that stopped at her knees and was tied at the waist with a grey obi, grey fishnet leggings, shinobi sandals, and her long brown hair flowing down to her mid back. Her bangs held back with pins. She was a lovely girl in her young age. After getting dressed, Jenova would rush down stairs where she would ask her mother where her dad was. Her mother explained that he had to leave for a job and couldn't stay to teach the jutsu to Jenova. She pretended to not be upset but she was. She looked forward to this all week.
Jenova grew quiet and sat at the dinning room table while her mother did dishes. Her mother then sighed slightly and turned to Jenova whipping her hands on her apron.
"You know, I can teach it to you honey." Her mother claimed. Jenova's smile lite across her face. "Of course. ." She though. Her mother was part of the family and obviously knew the technique, even if she wasn't much of a ninja.
Jenova would quickly jump up and cheer. Her mother replied with laughter and went to go fetch her shoes. Telling Jenova to meet her in the back yard.
Jenova would dash to the back yard, which was quite big and had flowers growing in it. Being one of the more wealthier families in the village, they could actually have flowers and things like that. When her mother came out, she smiled at Jenova and explained to Jenova what to do for the jutsu to work. She told her to aim for a sign that they had hanging the back yard for decoration. She told Jenova to form the half tiger seal and hold her other palm out flat and mold her chakra there. Jenova would nod and begin to do so. After the first chance, only a spark of chakra emitted from her palm and a sigh followed from Jenova. Which caused laughter from her mom. Her then displayed the technique, firing a ball of blue chakra at the sign. Jenova would then try again and get it this time. Launching the ball from her hand towards the sign, hitting it dead on.
When Jenova's father returned home a few hours later, Jenova would tell him all about it and even give him an example of it.
