The Field Trip [Mission]

Sanroku was given the oddest mission in his life. He was chosen to be in charge of a class of children that were around his age’ some might even be older than Sanroku was. The mission is a fieldtrip and the mission detail was defined as “a class of school students (non ninja age 8-12) are taking a trip to the mountains of Kumogakure. On the path there are a bit of wild animals and you and two other Chunin are tasked with escorting the group. Most animals are only going to hiss or make alerting sounds at you rather than attack, but at the mountain peak there will be a slumbering bear, that will be very aggressive.” And because this mission isn’t naturally dangerous, Sanroku decided to avoid the slumbering bear as much as he can. The young Akuma was waiting for the children to come to the mountain as Sanroku stood right under in the entrance to the passage to the top. As soon as Sanroku seen the children walking with their Academy school teacher, he got ready to walk them to the top. Sanrokku said hello to the Academy School teacher and the school teacher responded by pointing out how young Sanroku was for this mission. Sanroku said nothing to the statement and began leading the kids. Halfway to the top of the mountain, Sanroku was set to meet two chunin that were waiting for him and the kids. Sanroku may be young but he is sure that they are old enough. The trip is not necessarily knowledge based as in Sanroku had to speak about what they are observing, but in reality, the mission was supposed to show children how to live in the outside world. To survive in the wilderness is the primary mission here, so when the team is brought in front of wild animals they are supposed to let the Academy school students handle this, unless of course it is that bear in the top of the mountain. Sanroku walked with the children of course playing in the back following him. The first wild animal seen was a tiger. All the children wanted to fight in. It made Sanroku smile slightly to see the new generation of Kumogakure shinobi being so fearless. The thing is though, that Akuma noticed that this Tiger was far too large for the children to handle alone so Sanroku joined in the fun.

The children began by attacking the tiger using a barrage of shuriken. None of them wanted to get close except for those that wanted to specialize in taijutsu. Those were the most dangerous to watch over since they were truly daring. Sanroku then grabbed a kunai in order to attack himself, when the tiger jumped and prepared to bite a student who got far too close to the animal, Sanroku threw the kunai straight into the tigers arm. Sanroku was not trying to kill the tiger but instead injure it, and it worked as it began to flee the area. Sanroku then noticed the two chunin waiting for them. After meeting up they asked if they went through any trouble, in which Sanroku looked back and seen the kids smiling and acting out the attack, and Sanroku said, “No. Nothing happened.” They said okay and walked with Akuma to the top of the mountain. There, we seen the bear that was hibernating. The bear was sleeping deeply and thus wasn’t going to wake up for anything as long as we didn’t purposely disturb it. Sanrokku then looked back and seen one of the students get close to the bear. It appears to be a trouble maker. He appeared to want to get the attention of one of the young girls in the academy, but Sanroku wasn’t going to have any of that if it endangered the team. Sanroku quickly appeared in front of the student and in between the child and the bear. Sanroku gave the kid a serious look the way he always appears. Although they were about the same age, the young child knew that Sanroku was different. His eyes had a lot of fight into it and Sanroku didn’t have time to goof arounf. The kid turned around and Sanroku toled the two chunin that his mission was done, they agreed and said that he should get going and get his reward then.
