The trees, sparse in their placement and slight in their growth, passed by with the utmost of swiftness. The earth moved with them, a thin snake trailing behind a smooth, even, unmarked path at the passage of another, dressed simply in what appeared a dark blue cloak, thick and strong and sturdy, paired with an equally simple and minimalistic pair of brown sandals. The day had chilled significantly, warranting the drawing of hood and cloak and hat and sweater against the encroaching chill. However, the mist had thinned significantly already, the final remnants of its claws clinging desperately to a land with a more unrelentingly intense sun and a less stagnant temperament in the weather. The end of an era clung to these stragglers worming their way far from their homeland, spreading as an infection bent on polluting and corrupting the world around as they moved relentlessly forward.

Shrubbery became more apparent as the blue haired man recalled the mission given to him. Simple to say the least, his current assignment called for nothing that he could not give and certainly required of him nothing he had not managed in the past. No, this should be quite the routine investigation and, of course, an obligatory report to his superior of the most long winded proportions. On the other hand, Sketh had an extremely “no nonsense” feel about him, so perhaps the man would spare his subordinate from recounting his every. Single. Memory. Perhaps that is. His musing continued as the landscaped continue to evolve, change, and blossom all around. Shrubbery increased, the trees grew taller and of a different breed, and the distinct ching-chinging sound of a wind chime sounded somewhere away.
