Enter, Chikara Shurajo

Chikara leisurely walked down the street of Kirigakure with a smile upon her face, greeting store owners, shinobi, and everyday citizens alike. It not everyday that she decided to relax instead of train, especially since there were somethings that she needed to learn before she could resume the path to Chuunin. Why wasn’t she at the training fields? Simply because an old friend of the family was visiting the area. To be specific, it was a friend of her papa, a man she had only known for a year but liked already. She liked that he was visiting, though she didn’t know if he knew that her papa wasn’t in town and hadn’t been for quite sometime. Though she also hoped that maybe the man had seen her father somewhere and could tell her if he was alright. Either way, she was out and about to meet up with this family friend.

Her eyes looked up and down the streets, glancing at the various faces that were on the street, looking for the family friend. She eventually would find him, and her smile grew wilder as she jogged over to him. “Uncle Gen!” she shouted, waving her hand as she approached the man. “So happy that you could come.”

Chikara chuckled as Genesis placed a hand on her head, her smile growing larger for she was quite happy a familiar face was around. He patted her before reaching into his pocket, retrieving a pouch from it and handing to her. She looked down at the pouch now in her hand, looking up at Genesis as he explained the purpose of it. It made her happy since it meant that he had seen her papa lately, it gave her peace to know he was alright. She smiled, placing the pouch into her pocket. “How long are you staying in Kiri?”

"You can stay at my place until you have to go. It's lonely there, but I made sure to keep it clean!"

She didn’t notice her uncle grabbing her hand, she didn’t notice him dragging her down the road, nor did she notice when he hoisted her up onto his shoulder, she was just to darn happy to. Or maybe she was oblivious to his actions, too busy taking pleasure in telling her uncle what had happened since his last visit as well as giggling over the fact that he still thought her adorable, which was something that really couldn’t be disputed to begin with. At least, not to this little one, but she wasn’t conceited, so hearing her talk about how adorable she was isn’t something that would happen.

“I grew three whole inches since you visited!” she proclaimed happily, “and Kiri has changed. You should had been here. A couple days ago three intruders struck the village with intentions to disturb the peace. But we took care of it, or I should say the higher ups took care of it, I got to observe though. Oh! And I found out my sensei wasn’t a man of justice like you and papa since he ran before the battle even started. But I think Onii-sama, that’s are Anbu Captain, took care of him since he had sensei sword, and now I am part of Onii-sama’s squad. And I got some DNA from a body, though I don’t think I use it anytime soon,“ she continued to blabber, quite happy to share her experience with her uncle, not seeming to care rather or not he was listening.

The only thing that got her to shut up for even a second was Genesis putting her down. That’s when she shut her mouth, listening as her uncle expressed his desire to see how much she had grown since the pass year. Something that she was quite happy to oblige. “Yippee! Its been so long since I sparred with anyone. I have several techniques I wanna try out. Ooo~ this is gonna be so much fun!” Chikara said, bouncing up and down in uncontained excitement. “How do we start?”

“Yosh! I shall not disappoint!” proclaimed the pint-sized Genin once her uncle had declared the events for the evening, which was her showcasing what she had learned since his last visit. She may have only known her makeshift family for a year, but with the way both her uncle and papa worried about her wellbeing as well as rather or not she could protect herself, one would think the trio to be related in some way. It was nice feeling for Chikara to have, she having never really had a family before, thus she would do anything for these individuals that she has become fond of. She wouldn’t disappoint them either, especially not now.

She watched her uncle closely, bending her legs as she prepared to launch herself towards the man. She may be a child, but those years of being a walking science experiment taught her something. It taught her to be patient, not to rush into a situation without much needed information, for doing so could potentially land her in a sticky situation. She heard the clap, she saw her uncle’s mouth open, and without a second thought she launched herself at the man, coating her feet in chakra as the fluids spewed from her uncle’s mouth was unleashed onto the ground.

She hadn’t actually seen this particular technique before, thusly so she hadn’t the knowledge of what it was or how it worked. It could be harmless, but something within her mind told her that her uncle wouldn’t waste chakra on something harmless. And since Chikara would rather be safe than sorry, the bottom of her shoes were covered in chakra. Rather or not this worked would determine rather or not she would be able to engage her uncle in the skill she was most familiar with, Taijutsu. If, of course, coating her feet with chakra proved futile, than she would find herself stuck. Which in that case, she would have to think of a better course of action.

Engaging her uncle in Taijutsu had been the plan. She hated it when the plan changed due to unforeseen circumstances, especially when such a circumstance had been thrown at her courtesy of her uncle. She had seen the next technique come, and had fully anticipated to dodge it, but she found out quickly that the technique hadn’t been met for her. Sadly, it had been met for the sticky substance below her feet, a substance that quickly exploded. She was thrown forward thanks to the unexpected force, she having not the time to remove herself from the sticky substance or even brace herself for what was to come. So to see her flung forward in such a violent way wasn’t much of a surprise, nor would there be surprise when she found her jacket slightly singed and a nice burn on several different parts of her body.

Yet now, she was behind her uncle, having been flung a good couple feet behind said man, though how that improved her situation was up for debate. Especially when she found out that attempting to lift her recovering body from the ground with a pair of mildly burnt hands was tougher than it sounded. She gritted her teeth as she pulled herself onto her feet, cursing the fact that she hadn’t decided to learn that awesome healing technique. She made a mental note to learn said technique as well as that sticky substance plus fire equaled an explosion, and that she should get out of the vicinity quickly unless she wanted to end up like this, though worse.

But just because she had just been thrown like a rag doll, didn’t mean that she would give up. Sure, she got burned, and if it weren’t for wonderful medics she would have a scar later on, but she recovered from the pain quickly. Her eyes stayed on her uncle, her hands going through a series of hand seals. It was for a Genjutsu that she herself made which would have her uncle believing that she vanished from his sight to only appear behind him. Though, in reality, she wouldn’t had moved from her initial position. A clever trick, but one she hadn’t tried out until now, having only focused on the mechanics as well as the fact that people willing to be placed into a Genjutsu of any kind were hard to find.

She hoped that it worked just how she wanted it to, for the time her uncle spent with her illusionary self, would be time spent regaining her composure and coming up with another course of action. Getting in close for Taijutsu was still desired, but she needed to think about how she would achieve this feat. Especially since her first attempt had her soaring through the air. Chikara’s mind immediately went over various techniques that she had learned during the absence of her papa, and out of the few she knew, only one really stuck out to her. And it would have to due. Soon, her uncle would be seeing the Shurajo’s version of the mist technique.

Getting close to her uncle in order to engage him in Taijutsu had been the original plan. Yet with her uncle drawing out his blade in order to engage something, her, that wasn’t there, the thought of Taijutsu quickly left her mind. There was just no way she was going to get near that blade, for it was far to risky to do so. She bit her lower lip as she briefly watch the man swing his sword wildly, though she hadn’t watched for long, instead going through a series of hand seals for a technique she had recently learned. Perhaps with this technique there would still be hope of Taijutsu, though it would be done carefully and under the cover of the technique. If things didn’t work out, she would surely lose for her options would be either Ninjutsu or Genjutsu, and she hadn’t the chakra pool to spam techniques.

With the hand seals for the technique complete, her mind quickly went over the next course of action she had. Her uncle hadn’t the chance to see what she had been doing, and thus couldn’t guess by the hand seals she had performed what type of jutsu would be coming his way. He actually, for having not seen it, didn’t know she had even performed and wouldn’t until it activated itself. It perhaps the only thing Chikara didn’t like about the technique, it took a moment for the effects to start, but no matter.

Back to figuring out what she should do now with having to wait for the technique to take effect. She believed that ‘Hiding Like A Mole’ would be a rather good technique to use, but she didn’t know rather or not that would cancel out Crimson Death, the technique she had just cast. She hadn’t actually tried out the technique, having only gathered information about Hiding Like A Mole, but she knew it involved hiding in the ground. Something that would surely prevent Crimson Death since the technique made a mist of her own blood. So that was, for now, out of the question. And since Hiding Like A Mole was out of the question, Double Suicide Decapitation was out of the question as well. Albeit, she made a mental note to use both techniques once the mist was up.

Chikara attempted to race through what she could do, but she was out of time. Her uncle had broken the Genjutsu and was now looking at her. Without much of a thought, she flashed him a smile. Cards were out of her hands, at least until the mist was up, it was his move, and she may or may not like it. But either way, her uncle shall see her Crimson Death.

Genesis Arrival To The Bloody Mist [Open] Chikar10

Bloody Mist, not a village known for their red mist as one may be led to believed, but for the simple fact that it was perhaps a village that has had plenty of blood shed on their own land. From what she had been told, apparently the Bloody Mist had boasted a number of problems before peace had come. A lot of civil wars, genocides, prejudice towards those with a bloodline limit, and the killing of large number academy students in order for a couple, albeit usually one, to graduate. A sort of last test to see if one were truly ready. Yet with the peace that had reign the lands for a while, such activities were stopped and it made Kiri a stronger village, albeit perhaps they had lost the title of Bloody Mist during said peace.

Yet, with the technique known simply as Crimson Death, perhaps Chikara was bringing that title back, albeit in a more in the literal sense than it had been in the past. The area was slowly being enveloped by a thin layer of mist, tainted red by her own blood. It would grow thicker soon enough, everything within fifteen meters of herself would be engulfed in the red mist. Until than, her attention remained on her uncle, who had much to her pleasure, praised her on the skill she had shown. She almost, almost, lost focus on the situation, having been quite happy with pleasing her uncle – she sort of lived for the praise. But with a simple reminder that she was in fact sparring and couldn’t risk losing her focus from her brain, and eyes were back on her uncle.

She wondered what he was thinking, he having not quite made his move yet albeit she guess she should be thankful for that. It gave the mist more time to thicken which would prove quite difficult to navigate through when it did. She would be unable to clearly see, nor would her uncle be able to see more than a couple feet in front of him, the mist brought upon by Crimson Death doing well to obstruct vision. She continued to stare, the mist thickening, though she wouldn’t remain stationary for long, her uncle springing into action. She perked up slightly as her uncle sprinted towards her, eyes widen slightly as she charged chakra into the ground beneath her feet.

The ground turned to sand, and she quickly escaped into without further ado, narrowly escaping whatever her uncle had planned. The place where she had entered would harden once again, leaving no sign of where she had gone. Now underground, Chikara had to note that Hiding Like A Mole hadn’t been hard as she had imagined to learn and that it was quite dark underground, albeit what she had expected other than darkness was beyond her. She felt around the area for a moment, attempting to get her bearings as well as focus, knowing enough about the technique to know that she wasn’t completely blind whilst she was underground.

How far she had gone was perhaps no more than two feet, and upon focusing, she found that much like she had read that she didn’t need her eyes. A smile spread across her face as she closed her eyes, focused on pinpointing her uncle so that she may proceed with pulling him underground albeit she had to be quick, for she was quickly running out of chakra to use.

Chikara frowned deeply as any plan to drag her uncle underground was now voided. She should had known that he wouldn’t stand around and wait for her to make a move, especially since his vision had been restricted by the mist. And with him unaware of where she was and when she may strike, she should had suspected that he would escape to higher grounds. Thus she had missed out on the opportunity to utilize Double Suicide Decapitation. What more, there was no way for her to get to her uncle without emerging from the ground, albeit soon enough she would be forced from the ground yet she didn’t know that.

Instead she attempted to figure out a possible way to force her uncle out of his hiding spot. Yet any time she had to plan had immediately gone up in flames, her uncle having decided to either kill her or smoke her out. Either way, upon spotting lava, Chikara was in a panic, and without second thought emerged from the ground so that she wouldn’t get burned. She was thankful for the cover of the Crimson Death, but the sensory that she had whilst underneath the ground was gone. She now couldn’t see, much to her dismay. But on the flip side, her uncle couldn’t see either. It now all came down to who found the other first. And Chikara had a feeling it wouldn't be her.

Options, she desperately needed some to pop into her head before her uncle found her. The only thing keeping the man from finding her was the mist, and from experience she knew that the cover provided wouldn’t last for wrong. Seriously, she needed to learn some sort of sensory technique so that she herself wasn’t blinded. It would make combat a whole lot easier, and she made a mental note to develop something. But until than, her mind remained focused on courses of actions she could take with the meager amount of chakra she had left. And she really hadn’t much to utilize at this moment.

It was as time slowly went by, at least slowly within her mind, that Chikara began to panic. She had utilized a lot of chakra with the last plan, having gambled a lot of its success to only have it blow up in her face. Sure, she could officially say she knew how to cast Behind You as well as Hiding Like A Mole, but that really was of no help. Chuushaki was definitely out of the question, she feeling like if she utilized anything above a D grade technique that she will pass out due to chakra exhaustion. And she would much rather crawl to the hospital for recovery than have her uncle carry her there, albeit that didn’t sound half bad as she thought about it.

And she would had thought about it some more, if she hadn’t felt warmth touch her skin. And it was getting closer, the mist dissipating to reveal the likes of her uncle. She chuckled nervously, sheepishly scratching the back of her head as she took a step back. “Er. Hi Uncle Gen. Didn’t think you would be able to find me,” she said, unable to prevent a few chuckles from coming out. Her gaze shifted to the left, “sort of embarrassing since you are suppose to be neck deep in dirt.” Her gaze turned back to her Uncle, the smile having shifted to being nervous to being mischievous.

“I am sorta low on chakra, so I can’t really fight you,” she began, her body shifting ever so slightly, “I guess today I learn when it’s time to run.” Without further prompting, Chikara spun on her heel, so that her back was now facing towards her uncle, and ran. Yes, the Shurajo ran for she knew that she was in a losing battle. Her form would be engulfed by the mist, albeit she would no longer have such protection once she broke out of the radius. She would be heading straight home, where her uncle may find her. It may have been deemed a cowardly move to run, but she thought it wise. For this particular day, her Uncle Gen had taught her when it was time to retreat.
