Chikara

Missions:

Performing D missions wasn’t actually something that Chikara had saw herself doing when she had been a Genin aspiring to become Chunin, she certainly didn’t perform a lot of D mission whilst she was Genin. So when tasked with making the Naruto aesthetically pleasing once again, she could only think that it was the universes’ way of rectifying that, and she wasn’t really pleased with that. Being essentially a caregiver, she didn’t feel like she had the time to waste on D missions that yielded very little money, at least that was how she felt now. If this had occurred a month or so ago, she wouldn’t had minded so much since she only had to worry about a one person income, but since Shinku’s arrival the bills had certainly gone up. Sure, her sis may also be a shinobi, but with the kid’s fickleness, completing missions really wasn’t something Chikara expected of the eight-year-old, at least not in a timely manner. But since the child was now Chunin, having only been promoted to such a status recently via Chunin Exams, she knew that the little one had to get use to missions, no matter how boring they were.

With an extensive history of losing her sister, Chikara had decided that she would need an extra pair of eyes to keep track of Shinku, and with few choices, she had ultimately decided that Kurumi would be the best option. Shinku knew and liked the female, and for one reason or another was prone to listening to the individual she dubbed as the ‘pretty lady’. She had thought about bringing the Kaguya that had been Shinku’s partner in the Chunin Exams along, but on second thoughts had decided against it for she truly didn’t know him nor had she met him. All she knew of him was what she had learned from her sister, and from what she could understand, her sister liked the boy very much, going as far as to refer to him as her brother.

With a deep sigh and the folding of her arms, Chikara would cock her head to the side, eyes narrowing on the garbage that littered the bridge. People, especially tourist, were definitely inconsiderate and gross, and she would be all too happy to wring their neck if she ever caught them littering, but the last thing she needed was a lecture. It didn’t matter much anyways, the litter would be cleaned up for that was the task assigned to Shinku, Kurumi, and herself, well her but she had brought the other two along for the heck of it. On top of the picking up of garbage, the trio would also have the task of cleaning the tar from the foundation of the bridge that connected the island that was Kiri to the mainland that was Water Country. Two tasks that would yield a measly four hundred ryo, but not something she would complain about. Instead, she turned her gaze to Kurumi after briefly glancing at Shinku, flashing the Hozuki a smile. “Garbage or tar first?”

Shinku Shurajo

The Second Crimson Princess

Cleaning tar from a bridge and picking up garbage that the people were to good to dispose of properly were the first official missions Shinku had been tasked with completing since coming to live with her sister and thus Kiri. One would bring up the question of how she had managed to achieve the rank of Chunin at such a young age, and the answer is that she had been promoted to Chunin due to the actions she had taken during the Chunin Exams, though she would first stare at somebody as if they grew two heads before hiding behind her sister, allowing the older Shurajo to explain. But that didn’t matter much since the younger of the band of females wouldn’t be asked such questions whilst she completed the duties assigned to her for she doubt anyone would see them as Chunin when they were completing mission that, in the words of her sister, yielded insufficient funds to actually live off. She had also said something about the money being enough for bread and ramen noodles, but not enough for an actual meal, but that actually didn’t matter to her.

Accompanying the Shurajo siblings on their little task was an individual that they had met in the shopping district when the younger Shurajo had lost the older one not too long ago. Unsurprisingly enough, Shinku had taken a liking to Kurumi, who she had referred to as the pretty lady, and thus becoming friends wasn’t much of a stretch. Surprisingly, Chikara had also taken a liking to the older female, and to become friends with the Hozuki, such a thing evident since she had invited Kurumi to clean tar and pick up trash with her, though there was another reason Kurumi had been invited along. You see, Shinku was notorious for wandering off without so much of a second thought whenever something caught her interest, and since she was quiet about it, it usually took her sister a moment to realize she had lost the young child. So, on top of wanting to bond with Kurumi so more as well as assist her in becoming Chunin, she had also been brought along to serve as an extra pair of eyes unbeknownst to the eight-year-old Shurajo.

Albeit, if she had known there was a slim chance that she would had cared for she was use to being watched by several people at one time. So, with Kurumi along for the ride, Shinku thought that the mission that they needed to complete should be fun, and that her sister would forget about the meager pay that she would receive for the manual labor. So, when her sister had glanced at her, she could only smile at the older Shurajo, her eyes twinkling with enthusiasm. As her sister would look at Kurumi to flash her a smile, Shinku would do the same, ready to get the show on the road. Yet she had to ask an important question, which one of the two tasks they should start on first.

Missions?! With actual people that Kurumi called her friends?! This came as a shock to the Hozuki's parents. They knew how much the girl tried to keep herself hidden in the shadows and wondered how the child had suddenly come home sayinh she had made new friends. The young girl was.very excited to tell her parents about it and they were excited to hear. However, they didn't believe the girl would go out on missions with these friends. Kurumi was always attached to her parents or stuck in the house. They wondered how their child had just decided to take what seemed like a giant leap in a matter of a few days. They weren't complaining about it by any means they just couldn't get over their own shock. Kurumi didn't find it as a shock in any way. She actually didn't see it as a big step it just seemed natural to her.

It would seem like less when the girl told her parents what missioms she had been asked to accompany the two girls on. Cleaning tar and trash of the Great Naruto Bridge. It didn't seem like fun nor like a job for a lady but Kurumi seemed quite ok with it. If she were to see herself from the outside, she would definitely realize how odd she seemed to be. What kind of lady gets excited about cleaning tar and trash off a bridge? This would be the question that seemed to float around in the air. If it had been asked, the Hozuki would most likely answer 'Someone who has never been.on a mission with people she can call friends." Kurumi was not afraid to speak of any subject aloud unless it was her teeth.

Soon it would be time for the missiom to begin but for now Kurumi would just keep her smile. She was very happy to be out with Chikara and Shinku. When she had been asked on these missions with the two, Kurumi quickly accepted. The Hozuki was very fond of the small child with mismatched eyes. She also liked Chikara and sort of looked up to the Chunin. She could tell the older girl was strong and the younger one must have been too. She was a chunin at a very young age... younger than Kurumi of course. This actually made the girl quite embarrassed to think about. So, she wouldn't dwell on it too long before she looked over to see both sisters smiling at her. Of course Kurumi would smile back and listen as Chikara asked a question. The girl would tap her chin for a moment and think. She really didn't mind which they did first but she didnt want to shrug or say that she didn't know and make one of the others pick. Kurumi was always told "Even if you don't know... You know. Don't ever let those three words escape your mouth. Especially, if you plan on being a leader." So, the girl would follow that rule always. It was what she called 'A rule of being a lady.' it could also go under her other catagory 'The way to being a Great Ninja.'

After a moment, the girl would realize she had been lost in her own thought. Kurumi would sort of shake her head slightly trying to get her head on straight. 'Come in Kurumi. You can't be off in Lala land while on a mission. If this were more dangerous you could be dead by now." Kurumi would start thinking these thoughts in her mind. After a few more moments, the Hozuki would finally answer saying, "How about we do tar first." The girl would then smile as she turned her head to Chikara and Shinku.

Technique:

For a second Chikara thought about the decision Kurumi had come to, and to say the least she would had done the same. So, with a grin still plastered upon her face, she nodded her head in both acknowledgement and agreement, placing her hand upon the railing of the bridge before leaping over the side, descending to the calm water below with her feet covered in chakra. She glanced at the water that had replaced the ground that had been underneath her feet, and for a brief moment she watched the ripples that she had created thanks to her soft landing, but that attention was turned back to the bridge. From her position she was able to see the tar that had gathered thanks to a variety of things, and she scrunched up her nose in disgust, but she had quickly removed the expression from her face. “It’s very dirty down here, so we start down here and work our way up,” she shouted, resting her hands upon her hips. Noticing that she hadn’t actually brought any of the loaned equipment down with her, she would decide to voice that. “Kurumi, Shinku, bring down the equipment before you join me!”

With those words spoken, she would wait for the two ladies to join her upon the water, whilst she looked at the mess that they would have to clean up. Now that she thought about it, she hoped nobody present would feel bad about throwing away their clothes after the job was done, for getting tar out of clothes was practically impossible to achieve and thus would be futile. Chikara didn’t care much for the state of her clothes after the task were completed, for she had quite a few copies of her current attire and thus wouldn’t miss this particular one. As for her sister, she didn’t care much for that either since she had made sure the child had plenty of clothes, though most of them were the same thing since the kid had been adamant about getting the same white dress and blue collar so that she may wear it on a regular basis. But that again was of no matter. Now as for Kurumi, she wasn’t really sure, but she would safely assume that the older female didn’t have just one version of her current attire.

“Cleaning this tar up is going to take up a large portion of the day,” Chikara would state, shaking her head slightly as she examined the extent of the damage to the foundation of the bridge, For a flitting second, Chikara wished she had picked the docks, but shoved such a thought to the side for that would do her no good. “Hope nobody is going to mind getting considerably dirty, that tar is going to stick to us like glue and I got a feeling that it won’t wash out of our clothes.” She tilted her head to the side, glancing to her left for that’s where her sister had landed. “I guess we should get to work, huh?” She would state, a grin upon her face before she would grab one of the three items they had been given to remove the tar, immediately setting out to rid the bridge of its tar problem so that they may pick up the litter.

Shinku Shurajo

The Second Crimson Princess

“Shinku thinks KuruKuru made good choice.” Utter the youngest of the three females, a smile upon her face and her mismatched eyes gleaming with excitement. With her eyes trained on Kurumi, and thus her attention focused on the eldest of the three girls, she had only managed to catch her sister throwing herself over the railing from the corner of her eye. Blinking rapidly, her head snapped over to where her sister had been just a second ago, her mind wandering what made the older Shurajo throw herself over the railing. “Shinku is confused,” she stated, turning her eyes on Kurumi for a brief moment before making her way over to the railing. Having to hoist herself up just to look over the thing, she was in danger of falling over, but she didn’t seem all that aware of the danger, too focused on looking for her odd sister.

“Chikara!” Shinku shouted as her eyes narrowed, pinpointing her sister with ease despite the thin layer of mist that was coming in. She had been prepared to say more to her sister, but the voice of her sister silenced her. There was no need to ask why the older Shurajo had leapt from the bridge, especially since she had given the reason for doing so. She hadn’t thought about assessing the condition of the bridge, though she had also assumed that the cleaning of tar would keep her on firm ground, not take her to the water where she would most definitely have to stream chakra through her feet. But she wouldn’t complain, at least not for now, no, instead she removed her brown shoes, the kind her sister insisted that she wear but she wore rarely, and discarded them without a second thought.

Picking up several of the items given to the trio, Shinku would glance at Kurumi once again if the Hozuki hadn’t already descended from the bridge. If she had, well nothing would really change for she would still announce her descent. “Shinku going down,” she said before leaping from the bridge, with chakra keeping her above water, the young Shurajo would land three feet ahead of Chikara and to her left. Giggling softly to herself, having enjoyed the journey down and having every intentions of going back up and doing it again. But than again, there were two people who would kindly remind her of the goal and thus set her on track with the massive clean up they had to complete before the end of the day. With her sister stating that work was to be had before taking one of the three items, Shinku would cock her head to the side as she watched her sister begin the tedious task of removing the tar from the foundation of the bridge.

“Shinku takes KuruKuru as her partner!” Shinku proclaimed loudly, turning herself so that she was now facing the Hozuki. Putting her right hand to her forehead at an angle, she appeared to be saluting the Hozuki, a semi serious expression upon her face. “How shall Shinku and KuruKuru proceed?”

Kurumi would be looking at Chikara as she nodded her head. It was almost as if she was thinking about the Hozuki's choice. Kurumi would then look the the smaller child, Shinku, as she stared at the Hozuki with a smile. Then, the small girl would look away, which would make Kurumi look in the same direction seeing Chikara not standing there. Kurumi would tilt her head wondering what the girl had just done. However, her questions would hault at the sight of Shinku leaning over the rail. Kurumi would quickly run up beside the girl in case she slipped. Children sure were fearless... in Kurumi's head anyway. They never thought about consequences. Really she believed they didn't think much at all but she didn't mind. Children would be children, which makes them more fun.

The Hozuki would then look over the railing herself without much of a struggle. She would listen to Chikara speak and nod slightly though she knew Chikara would not see her from her position. Kurumi was ready for anything and walking on the water waone. It wouldn't be hard considering she had practice many times with her father so the girl really didn't think twice about it.

The Hozuki would look over to the small child, who had just glanced at her. She noticed that the girl had already gotten all of the tools they would be using. Before Kurumi could offer to take part, the child shouted and jumped off the bridge. This would make Kurumi blink and remember something she was told once. "If someone told you to jump off a bridge would you do it? No, you probably wouldn't." They obviously didn't have this in mind when they spoke these words. This would make the Hozuki shake her head slightly. 'Stay on task,' she would remind herself. The girl would sit on the railing and ready herself. 'Sure glad I decided to put those shorts under my skirt today.' With that the Hozuki would yell, "Watch out!" and throw herself off the railing. She would land about 2ft to the left of Shinku.

When she got to the bottom, Chikara was already heading for the bridge. She would then look to Shinku, who wished to take Kurumi as her partner. She didnt notice the child had ridded herself of her shoes. This would make Kurumi mentally shrug. She would then notice the child saluting at her. Shinku had asked the girl what they would do so Kurumi would answer. "We will pick a different spot to start than Chikara. Then, we will get to work!" Kurumi would remark with her hands behind her back acting like some sort of boss. The Hozuki would pick up two tools handing one to Shinku if she wished to take it. "Let us start over there." Kurumi would begin towards the bridge wondering if the small child would follow after her.

Covered in the smelly substance known as tar, Chikara would emerge from underneath the foundation of the bridge, thankful that she was now standing upon stable ground instead of water and thus didn’t need to stream chakra through her feet. Much to her chagrin, the process of removing tar from the bridge had been much longer than she originally anticipated, the substance quite stubborn and reluctant to be removed. It hadn’t been fun, especially not when some tar had been flicked into her hair thanks to the shear force she had exerted upon the thing so that it may be removed, having meant to flick it over her shoulder but a small tilt of her hand and it had flown into her face as well as her hair. She counted herself lucky that removing the tar from her hair and her face would be possible, though the task would certainly not be easy.

Yet the older Shurajo was glad that the job was done and that now all that remained was picking up litter left by the various tourist that decided to visit the bridge. She hadn’t glanced at Kurumi or Shinku, having forgotten that the two were with her, and immediately began to pick up the stray wrappers and cups, stuffing them into a garbage whilst pocketing any loose change she found.

Shinku Shurajo

The Second Crimson Princess

“KuruKuru, Yes, KuruKuru!” Shouted Shinku as she placed her hand back to her side with one fluid movement before taking ahold of the equipment that Kurumi handed to her. With Kurumi walking to the opposite side of where her older sister was working, the trio would definitely meet in the middle unless one finished their side faster than the other. Yet, the youngest girl of the trio didn’t allow her mind to think to hardly about such an insignificant detail as she marched behind Kurumi, a very large grin plastered onto her face as she hummed a triumphant tune; a tune that she would hum for the remainder of their work period, only pausing for a short amount of time before starting right back up. Sometime during the tar removal process, Shinku had thought it funny to purposely flick some tar at her friend, though she did well to look innocent of the offense. Though, karma had certainly done well to get her back for the Hozuki, for not long after flicking tar at the poor female, she had managed to get a disgustingly amount of tar onto her body, the black substance staining her white dress black as well as sprinkling some into her face and hair. Shinku had certainly been stunned, but she hadn’t cried, she simply attempted to wipe the tar from her face, which only resulted in more tar upon her fair-skinned face.

As for the trash, well when she had finally emerged there hadn’t been much left, at least she told herself there wasn’t much left. The bridge was certainly becoming more and more aesthetically pleasing and looked ten times better than it had before the trio had begun their job. Now, she only wished that people would keep it clean, but she highly doubt that would happen since there would always be a group that didn’t care about the state they left the bridge in. Though most of the work had been done whilst she was busy hacking away at the tar, Shinku would still assist with the trash, picking up various wrappers and plastic containers whilst offering change to Kurumi for no explicit reason.

Kurumi would be working away at the tar stuck to the bridge. It was black, gross, and sticky three things a lady hated the most. However, being a shinobi one would have to learn to get over such trivial matters. The Hozuki continued to work on making a face everytime she got the blac, gross, sticky substanvce on herself. At one point, she would notice some of this tar had been flicked upon her. This would make her look in the direction she had felt it come. Of course, Kurumi knew it was Shinku so she would make a face at the child. The child had managed to get it in the Hozuki's hair and on the side of her clothing. She really didn't mind that the child had done so, which was why she had made a face at the child. When the child had managed to get some on herself, Kurumi would laugh and continue on working. This job sure was gross and all but it was fun with others around.

Kurumi would finish working on the tar last. The last small bit being flicked upon her cheek. Since the girls clothes were already dirty, the Hozuki would wipe it onto her sleeve smudging it on her cheek slightly. Kurumi was glad to be done but as she stepped on the top of the bridge. the girl would sigh. She had forgotten the fact that they also had to clean up the trash. However, it seemed as if the top of the bridge was close to being clean. So, the Hozuki would think about what she could do next as she took the change Shinku had offered her. After a moment the girl would remember that the group also had to clean the beach. "I'm gonna go down there ok?" Kurumi would say as she pointed to the beach. Soon enough, she was off and picking up trash from the beach.

“We shall join you once we are done up here,” Chikara called out to Kurumi as the Hozuki departed for the beach. She had watched the older female depart for the beach whilst wiping the sweat from her forehead, transferring the tar from her hand to her head in the mean time. With a glance at the hardworking Shinku, Chikara would smile, chuckling softly as she went back to work. With most of the work having been done before Shinku had come to assist her, the trash upon the bridge had been gathered and stuffed into a garbage bag. Throwing the bag over her shoulder after tying it closed, she would motion for her sister to follow her to the beach to see if Kurumi was done or needed assistance.

If Kurumi required assistance, Chikara would give it. If she were done on the other hand, Chikara would comment on the hard work that had been put into cleaning up the area and that the tourist should help maintain the cleanliness. With those words out, she would ask if Kurumi wanted to meet up later for some food after they had showered, changed into a clean pair of clothes, and burn the ones that they were wearing now. If she agreed, than Chikara would suggest a time of two o’clock in which case she would grin at Kurumi and motion for her sister to follow her home, disposing of the trash bag alone the way. Thus ending the terrible dance with tar and garbage.

After a long day of cleaning up as well as messing around, Shinku walked home so that she may wash herself of the tar and sweat that clung to her body. She had fun despite the mess she was now in appearance wise, and looked forward to seeing Kurumi later for a nice meal after she had a hot shower with her sister. Something which no one would be told about for apparently showering with your sister at the age of eight was seen as a little odd, though Shinku personally could careless. Either way, a hug for Kurumi, disposing of the bag later on down the road, and under the hot water upon reaching home, she was happy.

Kurumi would finish her cleaning on the beach before the sisters had finished atop the bridge. It didn't surprise the girl that there was more trash above than below. If people are going to be too lazy to throw their trash away why would they make an effort to throw it farther than needed. Anyway, the fact that their was so much trash and filth sort of disappointed the girl but she had to hold her tongue because that is how a lady must act. The feeling would soon pass however, when she was invited to have a meal with the girls. Of course, Kurumi would accept. How could she possibly decline? She would smile as she recieved a hug from the younger of the three girls,Shinku, and turn to head home. She would giggle at the thought of her mothers face as the filthy girl returned home. Kurumi couldn't wait to get back and shower.
