The young shinobi had a good night of sleep after the day before being part of what felt to be harsh training. It is clear that the ANBU organization do not take their training lightly. As soon as the young chunin opened his eyes while still in bed, an ANBU was waiting for the kid to wake up right beside his bed. Sanroku was shocked and for the first time in a long time showed emotions of fright but only because he was prompted to by reflexive behaviors. Sanroku knew right away what the ANBU was here for and the ANBU was sure that Sanroku knew as well, and because of this, as soon as Sanroku opened his eyes, the ANBU threw Sanrokus clothes on top of him and told him to get ready. When the young shinobi suited up and got ready to leave his home, the ANBU stopped Sanroku and threw the Kurai Katana at Sanroku while saying, “You are going to need your long bladed weapon today.” This made Sanroku wonder. Since these ANBU shinobi obviously don’t say things for no reason, this guy must have gave Sanroku his sword for quite a good one. Sanroku walked to the ANBU training facility where he housed his training regimen yesterday and the ANBU shinobi that was waiting beside Sanrokus bed was the one leading the way. When entering the facility, the ANBU turned around and prept Sanroku for what was about to happen. The ANBU repeated what all the others said before him, saying the rules and regulations to this whole training. Sanroku was not getting used to this whole aspect of them not being at fault if he was to die. While sleeping threw the night, Sanroku had the epiphany that this rule given, is a rule stated into reality. Sanroku doesn’t believe that these ANBU shinobi would kill their trainee, but it is apparent that these words should be said before every battle in order to instill that belief. The belief that an ANBU while in a mission and set up with combat, then he must get ready to disown his village in terms of not selling out their secrets when captured. The ideology that the ANBU is dead as soon as the mask is put on was the reason for this prayer before the battle. And while the ANBU noticed that Sanroku had no fear when spoken too about the rules and regulation, he quickly said. “I know you’ll be alright.” He said this because he knew that by saying those words, they were going through another form of training. Nevertheless, Sanroku knew that there was a catch to these words but he wasn’t fully right on its meaning. The test behind those words is to have the trainee grow courage to the point of blocking the death threat. Since some shinobi that were in the ANBU training program actually left after hearing those words a few times, some even left after hearing it for the first time, before combating.

When Sanroku was left to settle into the arena once again, like the day before, the fighter was already waiting for the young Chunin. If another ANBU shinobi appears later on, then Sanroku can determine the fact that this training involves two sparring matches a day. In which case they much each have a unique property to them in both the skill of the ANBU and the method in which to unlock a way to “pass” the mission. Since they have all said the same thing after the mission was over with and it appeared to have been a success. Sanroku looked at the shinobi standing ahead as he thought for himself, what can this ANBU skill be? And when is he going to display it? The other opponents seemed to have attacked quickly, while this one was waiting for Sanroku to make the first move. If that was the case, Sanroku was going to comply with the Anbu shinobi’s wishes. By using his hidden hand technique, Sanroku released a kunai, but at the same time noticed that the shinobi ahead did the same. The young chunin without hesitating threw the kunai directly at the opponent in which he reacted by doing the same and knocking the kunai out of the air. To do this, Sanroku thought, he must be a weapon specialist. Because Sanrokus shurikenjutsu can match with the best of them, and this shinobi can apparently match up. Sanroku wondered though after, what is the purpose of this mission. Like the other ones, this one must have a key to succeeding. Sanroku looked around, after which the ANBU shinobi created a fog like cloudy mist that covered the room. Sanroku covered his mouth and nose in case this was poison. But to his knowledge, he noticed it was a genjutsu. Sanroku began to see 5 ANBU shinobi who are obviously clones, yet not shadow clones. Sanroku was getting dizzy since the genjutsu made him feel as if he was spinning. The young shinobi needed to gather himself but when he tried moving in order to get to a safe place, a quickly stumbled and jumped straight onto the ground. Sanroku landed on his face as he got up with one knee and began to think. But before he was able to get into his memory bank, the opponent threw a shuriken directly at Sanrokus leg. Luckily it didn’t stab him but he threw it to slice the young shinobi. This distracted Sanroku. Then Sanroku quickly used the Genjutsu Kai technique in order to be released from the Genjutsu he was casted on. He took a pretty long time but his mind was scrambled and he couldn’t really think of what to do, and even when the Genjutsu wa almost wearing off, the ANBU threw a kunai at Sanroku in order to still keep him from thinking straight. This was a good strategy, brilliant even. But Sanroku still needs to know what the agenda of the mission is. As soon as Sanroku stood up the shinobi was standing in front of Sanroku as he said, “You fail.” Before Sanroku was able to say anything though the man said. “Don’t worry. You’ll still get your reward.” Sanroku was mad that the man seemed proud at the fact that Sanroku failed, even implied that he was doing the mission just for the reward. Sanroku can’t wait for the next time to face him. So he decided not too.

While the ANBU shinobi was leaving Sanroku pulled out a kunai that he had in his pouch. He then tossed it in front of the exiting ANBU as Sanroku said, “You are not going nowhere until I pass.” The ANBU shinobi then responded by saying, “Nobody passes with me.” The ANBU then made a hand gesture to some window in order to signify that he is going for a second round. It appears like the ANBU took the bait. Sanroku instigated the man to the point that he decided that another fight should be appropriate for this situation. The ANBU shinobi jumped forward and toward the center of the arena, after which he said, “Intel says that you are a weapon specialist. Well I am the best weapon specialist in Kumogakures ANBU.” He then pulled out a great deal of weapons only to have them laying in front of him without being in use. The ANBU then said, “What makes you think you can beat me?” Sanroku jumped back to get up to 25 meters away from the ANBU shinobi. At least now he got the ANBU shinobi to give him specific detail to his power. Sanroku now has to analyze a way in which to win in this mission. It was more than hazy but maybe the higher ups in the ANBU training facility purposely make the weaponry sparring match to be one that you have to win. Since weapons are lethal and handy in close quarter and long range combat. It is apparently clear that it will be most useful for the training if weaponry is the one that a shinobi needs to fight full force. Sanroku wants to test this theory out. So he pulled out a kunai and stabbed it right in front of him so that he can know his position. Soon after he used the Manipulative Blade Explosion to manipulate a few kunai to target the opponent. The kunai had explosive tags attached to them so even if they were deflected, they will still do some sort of damage if it gets close enough. Sanroku then said, “If it’s a fight you want my friend, then it’s a fight you’re going to get.” After saying those words, the kunai went at the opponent at their full speed. The explosive tag behind it began to light up as soon as they got near the shinobi and before he had a chance to react to the kunai coming straight for him, the explosive tags exploded in order to give him something to think about in the match. The ANBU shinobi flew back a few meters and had some of his clothing ripped apart. He looked mad since he punched the ground before getting up and as soon as he did, he quickly took out a shuriken and threw it at Sanroku with the hand signs made to use the shuriken shadow clone technique. The number of shuriken made surprised Sanroku, but he knew that these shinobi were powerful so he had no time to admire the new jutsu. Sanroku then used the Body Replacement technique to escape the death blow.

When Sanroku replaced his body with the wooden replacement, the log exploded because of the impact of all of the shuriken. The young Sanroku was amazed at the power behind that jutsu and made a mental note to himself to try and recreate that jutsu so that he can have a custom version and if he can’t do that, then for the very least try and learn the one that was just used. Sanroku felt that the explosive tags did a good job in hurting the ANBU shinobi but if Sanroku wanted to do real damage he had to try and get in close to the target. Sanroku then grabbed a kunai and got prepared to charge at the opponent. While running toward the enemy, Sanroku noticed the cloudy mist once again. It is the genjutsu that he used in the last match. Although Sanroku is slightly more prepared as he seen the fog coming in as he darted backward in order to not be caught inside of the genjutsu. Once Sanroku jumped to a safe distance he witnessed the fog stop when it reached an apparent 25 meters away from the enemy. Prompting Sanrou to deduct the fact that this jutsu must be a high ranking jutsu if it has such a vast range. Sanroku was now in the outter layer of what appeared to be a genjutsu type of smokescreen, and when Sanroku got close enough to experiment on this new found technique, the ANBU shinobi appeared right in front of Sanroku as he grabbed him by the chest in order to drag him in. The target pulled Sanroku into the smoke screen in which the same effects took place. Sanroku was seeing double of his target and even getting the feeling that the room is spinning. Sanroku knew exactly what to do now since experience is key, he then used the Genjutsu release technique. This proved to come in handy since the ANBU shinobi was walking toward Sanroku thinking that he was trapped in a genjutsu. While walking, Sanroku used this opportune moment in order to “play dead” so that this ANBU shinobi can get close enough to get grappled by the young chunin Sanroku. When the target got close enough, Sanroku quickly opened his eyes and grabbed the target by the feet. Sanroku then jumped onto his two feet as he also had to train in close quarter combat. Taking out the kunai for the Lions Paw Technique, Sanroku like last time was prepared for even the words. When Sanroku was able to distract the ANBU shinobi one more time, but this time with a smoke bomb. After which, the young Sanroku will charged head on toward the training partner. This is obviously Sanroku trying to display his power in their era. But even charging at full force, the shinobi Sanroku was fighting against was so skilled that they needed only to just have a better technique. While dodging the weapons thrown Sanroku got close enough to attack when a voice was heard, “You passed.” The mission was then suspected to be that, to get in close quarter combat versus someone who specializes in long range fighting.
