Spoiler:
It was just another one of those days. Lavii felt as if he was becoming to lax; luckily there was the perfect mission for him to do. The Instructors at the Academy wanted someone to come in and show the kids what a fight between two shinobi looks like. Lavii thought it was the perfect chance for him to get back into shape. He debated if he should use his Sharingan in the spar or not due to the simple fact that he did not want to go ALL in because this was only a spar and activating his sharingan in a simple spar seemed a bit excessive. He pondered this thought all the way to the Academy. When he arrived he greeted everyone and moved outside to the training area that the Academy housed. He stood there still pondering what he should do. While he did this the students would come flooding out of the building. Many of them if not all knew Lavii. The young Uchiha man had gained quite the Reputation some even dubbing him as a Prodigy. They all began to carry on about the impending spar; Lavii had not even noticed due to his solitary thought about how serious he should be in this spar.

She had come back with the full force of her newly trained talents from her family in the dessert. She fel invigorated and ready to go but not overly proud, she still had some issues and kinks to sort out but in general she felt free and happier. Much more than she had ever been as a child. Whilst her years as a child and becoming the only one of her class to become a med-nin genin, she was a total shut in to the world and feared all. However as many times as she put herself down she gruelled through the years and went into the exams with her comrade. Together they out-smarted and grudged through the place, able to finally reach the goal of Chuunin. She had never felt more proud for herself and neither her family either. She felt able to protect and serve as she should and not just a kid playing with kunai.

As she had left the village she was given information, training, and most of all confidence. She was pushed full fledge with the feeling that she really coul do something thanks to her elder cousin. With that she eventually grew over the three years abscence in Konoha and became a woman, an adult. As she left to go back to her home she could only wonder what it would look like, frankly it looked even more beautiful than before. Perhaps that was just optimism but she really felt things had a glow to them now. A sense of life given to her eyes that she bore.

She was called upon to teach the genin class on sparring, and fighting. It was typical as she did need something to do and the genin could learn that being a med-nin doesn't mean you stay behind the crowds or at the hospital all the time. Sometimes you have to do the work on your own and learn to outsmart the enemy. That being said her opponent in the spar was none other than Lavii, a Uchiha around her age whom was considered to be a prodigy. Obviously prodigy or not she felt compelled to raise an introduction to him.

As she walked over to him she smiled and waved then held out her hand to him. "Hitomi Shiruku, nice to meet you and good luck on the spar!" She said giving a sense of sportsman ship for the younger ones to look onto. She awaited his response and then after he would finish she'd back away and take a fighting stance to be ready.

The chattering seemed to almost stop as Hitomi reached the Academy Grounds. Lavii was surprised to see that it was her. His eye nor deamor wpuld give any hint to this, but he however was feeling a bit shocked. Why was this? He did not really know. She approached him and went to shake his hand and go on to introduce herself, of course the two already knew each other. However this was not a formality for them, but the children. Lavii shook her and and gave a slight smile. "I'm Lavii Uchiha. It's nice to meet you as well." Lavii to would take a few steps back. He turned to the group of Academy Students before them; The Uchiha man thought he would share some information with the children about some things before he jumped into the spar. "Okay everyone listen close." He paused and waited to gain the attention of everyone in the crowd. "When sparring it is always good to have a sense of sportsmanship, but if you are fighting a enemy sportsmanship is not necessarily needed." He could tell just by looking at them that some would grow up to try and shake the hand or something of someone who was trying to kill them. "A sense of Honor however is something one should have. Also they say in a fight between two Shinobi that a full conversation is had between the two as if they are talking with the use of words. Always remember this." A gleam seemed to shine in the eye of each Academy Student. They thought not only Lavii, but Hitmoi were cool, Lavii turned back to Hitomi and gave her his undivided attention, "I am ready when you are Hitomi." Lavii would take this spar as serious as she would, so until he could gauge that Lavii would not go all in.

She nodded towards him, overhearing his lesson upon good sportsmanship towards the younger generation whom looked upon them with awe. She couldn't help but give out a good feeling of a smile towards them before taking a moment to focus then looked upon Lavii as she answered. "I'm ready myself, I'll take the lead this time." She mentioned to him, as normally spars are just quick bustles of energy to show off strength, she wanted to be a bit more courteous with this

She then took form for the time being gathering up what she needed before feeling ready. She lit up her hands with medical chakra, once she felt it was enough it was re-formed into scapels to either side of herself. This was to ensure she wouldn't do permanent damage but also to give of a semi-interesting display of chakra manipulation. Once she felt ready she began to toss two at him then to close in range towards him she took in a deep breath and turned around giving off an excessive blow to use the wind she created to push herself towards him.

Once she'd be in close proximity she'd ready another set of chakra influenced scalpels for a closer range attack. "So then a quick question from myself, what do you feel life means?" She asked to him as she was coming at him. Not turning her attention away but rather something she learned to do, this also took the pressure off so any sort of wound that could accidentally come was forgiven due to such a casual demeanor. She didn't wish to be rude and outright battle him to get steam off but rather to carry on their chatter amidst the battle, where she could give off a sense of care. He may be an opponent but he wasn't an enemy.

Lavii watched every single movement of Hitomi; to the Uchiha her movements where nothing short of sluggish. He had been having his eyes trained since he could remember; knowing his Father it was possible that Lavii's eyes where being trained before he even could talk or walk. As Lavii watched her for some reason or another he could tell that she was starting to kneed her chakra. When Hitomi began to reach into her pouch Lavii had did the same, and again he threw his chakra enhanced shuriken at her medical scalpels. The bladed weapons would collided each canceling the others out, causing them to ricochet, but the skilled Uchiha shinobi knew what he was doing, so that they did not harm the children or anything for that matter. She would then begin to run towards Lavii who at this point was getting more into the spar. Hitomi would turn her body and unleash a powerful burst of wind in order to give her self more momentum which was a good idea, but Lavii was already on top of her plan. He launched two shuriken at her back before dashing to his right. When Hitomi the shuriken would be right there. Even though this was a spar it was obvious the two leaf shinobi were serious. Lavii would remain where he was in a fighting stance waiting for Hitomi to make her move, after having to deal with his counter. Lavii sat and plotted any possible attack that would be sent his way. The children began to coo when they saw Hitomi unleashed a barrage of jutsu, and awed as Lavii countered them accordingly. The two were setting a fine example for the next generation. "I can't answer that really." Lavii said responding to the question posed by Hitomi. "All I know is we are born to die. It's really that simple." He made sure that only Hitmoi could hear his reply.

She watched his fast movements following her and felt almost relieved in some way, perhaps it was because it reminded her of someone she once knew doing just the same. Even if everything she threw at him was countered she couldn't help but enjoy the idea that it was. She however kept the battle going on as she channeled her chakra back into her lungs from her hands and just as the second set of shuriken was thrown at her she took in an even deeper breath than the one used before and after completing her signs she blew out an enormous gust of wind

This wind was much stronger than the one before and to some shocks and surprises this sent the shuriken swiftly flying back towards him at a blazing speed. Of course she'd be knocked back by the sheer force but just as much as he would be being they weren't that far off and the gust was strong enough to bend a still standing tree to bow down. Once she landed she soon recovered her standing and seeing as the strong wind currents blew up enough dust to cover herself she decided to use a familiar technique she herself created.

She spun the wind she created tightly within her hands until it was similar to a saw blade, shining brightly and spinning so quick it was hard to tell where the wind blade started or ended. She then made her way towards him, though she was sluggish compared to a taijutsu user she was fairly capable of speeding up and defending herself. Once she felt she was close enough she looked to him and answered back.

"I believe we're born to live, even the shortest lives still breathed once." She carried on to block any shuriken he'd possibly try to toss towards her with the saw blades. "I understand your point though, we will die. But death can't occur without life." She smiled a bit remembering back to her past and deeply agreed to her statement. As much death and destruction she had seen in her life she really felt it's one's life that defines a person, and death ends it but not in memory only in life.

Hitmoi had reacted nicely to the counter of Lavii. She would let out another burst of wind that knocked back the shuriken Lavii had threw. Considering when he threw them and how he moved to his right as soon as he released them Lavii was no where near having to worry about them. She reacted good, but it was apparent she wasn't really one made for the front lines. Hitmoi was most likely going to be a shinobi skilled in defense considering her physical prowess and the type of Futon jutsu she used. Hitmoi would then proceed to cause a massive amount of dust to be kicked up and engulf both Lavii and herself. The two sparring shinobi had disappeared in the dust cloud causing the Academy students to become even more Frantic. Lavii had drilled into his mind the location of Hitmoi before the cloud had hidden her image. He would act quick taking this chance to act. He quickly formed hand seals in rapid succession. A duplicate of himself would appear next to him. While he himself formed another hand seal; his body would flicker and disappear from sight. The real Lavii would be waiting on the wings. Considering the nature of Hitomi's jutsu the dust would settle soon and Lavii could act. Lavii was only using the basic of jutsu to show the Academy students that even someone who doesn't know many jutsu or can't seem to get any of them right could still be proficient in battle. He in no way meant any disrespect to Hitmoi in this right. As Hitmoi burst through the dust the clone would act just like the real Lavii only he would jump back. Lavii knew the weakness of this jutsu, but the dust cloud would be a perfect cover for the ruse. "You have a point with that." the words sound as if they were coming from the clone, but really it was Lavii who was not to far from his clone and Hitmoi.

She carried on with her attack, ready to strike at him though seeing him being still confused her for a moment as she slammed her saws up to what seemed to be the clone. Even being near them could knock someone back from the sheer force of wind being processed into the tight hold. However as she attacked the clone she wasn't sure why it didn't leave some footprints as she then stood up from her attack seeing as the clone had jumped back a bit.

She took a moment to re-think things through before sighing out. She blinked for a moment before looking around seeing through the dust and dirt to find him, she knew this wasn't him now. The dust moved but not from it, not even footprints were left from the jump or signs of pushed dust from breathing. Just as she looked around she was confirmed on her suspicion when she noticed the clone having no chakra flow as a normal human body would.

Once she noticed this she immediately allowed her attack to cut into the clone to stop it from any possible attack further on before going back to looking for the real Lavii. Once she had found him she confirmed his location with her sensory technique before giving out a final attack. She had to take a turn to ready it but once it was she could quite possibly finish this off once and for all.

She returned the chatter to laughing a bit. "Nice job, a simple clone would have worked better if it had been moving first but thanks to you I get to use my last strategy." She said with a sigh, it's not that she wanted to lose the battle or win it. Rather use all she could and then stop so the others could learn. Preparing the attack wasn't easy but she had to do it. She didn't want to use all her chakra, let alone use anything that could really cause damage so it was best to get to the end and try to find a fitting end at that.

Lavii could tell that Hitmoi had made contact with is clone and when she did he would throw two shuriken towards the location of his clone and Hitomi. While he did that the dust began to settle; when it did the first person who became visible was Lavii then eventually Hitomi became visible. She had been trying to figure out the mystery of the clone before she had eventually realized that it was not the real Lavii. As the dust settled the Academy student were amazed that the two shinobi were in different locations than when the dust cloud was knocked up. When the children saw the shuriken flying at Hitomi they would began to scream and yell. This would obviously alert Hitomi to Lavii's attack, but he was fine with that. Lavii smiled at Hitmoi and the children. It had been quite a long time since he had the sorts of feeling. It was a feeling of happiness? No, it was something other than happiness, but he could not put his finger on it. His thoughts would be slightly interrupted by Hitomi telling him a Shadow clone would have sufficed more than the basic clone technique. Lavii knew this, but he was determined on using basic jutsu that was until he heard Hitomi say that she was going to use her last strategy. This made something inside of Lavii go insane. It was not in a bad way, but it was as if those words flipped a switch within Lavii. His excitement began to shine in his eyes.

"Your last Strategy huh? I guess I should kick it up a notch then, shouldn't I?" When he said that a simple blink would reveal the Uchiha's 3 Tomoed Sharingan. None of the Academy students noticed at first until they heard a noise from their instructor. That was when one by one the Academy students began to cheer for the two shinboi. Hitomi was a sort of Representative for the young Kunoichi in attendance, while the young Uchiha in attendance looked up to Lavii even more now than they had before. These two were truly some of the best Konoha had to offer. The cheers from the students almost rocked the ground. It filled Lavii with even more excitement; it was like some primal instinct in him had woken from a long slumber. "I have to Thank you for this Hitmoi. I'm glad it was you that came here today." Lavii prepared himself for whatever it was that Hitomi was going to try and do. Regardless of what it was that the blue eye woman before him was going to do the next few minutes were going to be nothing short of amazing. Lavii could hear all the children begin talking saying how they wanted to be like the two shinobi standing before them. He felt good that they were inspiring a younger generation to want to push themselves and become the best that they could to protect the village. IT was a wonderful feeling indeed.

With figuring out the clone and finally finding him but seeing he didn't notice that she knew where he was now she saw the attack coming far before the children even began screaming. With it her fingers lit up a bright blue essence of chakra as she begun spelling out in the air kanji lettering, the blue light was followed into a trail until it was completed as just as the shuriken would come to her she pressed her hand to it and in an instant the kanji lettering shaped and formed into a tortoise shell of a shield in front of herself. The shuriken deflected off the shield however didn't dent it at all. She of course had to cancel her sensing though.

"Perhaps you should..." She mentioned with the shield in front of herself glittering brightly. She then barely even moved as the shield turned into an actual tortoise it seemed only still made of chakra and it snapped out towards Lavii. "I thank you for giving me the challenge then." She couldn't help but giggle a bit before readying her attack towards him. She jumped towards him, shield and all in front of herself and seemed to follow not her mind but her chakra flow, meaning this tortoise wasn't slow whatsoever. Anything that reacted in her chakra would react in the tortoise itself.

She could see the eyes, but she knew what to do. She already had been against 3 uchiha before, one being her sensei for practice, the other two genins like herself in spars. She had studied this as much as possible and thus she knew about it, just not everything that was possible from it. However she was attentive and ready for this. As she neared to him the shield would be positioned just before she was face to face for the tortoise to snap at him, before being brought back like a wisp into place as a shield once more.

Lavii stood and watched as Hitomi began to unveil her 'Final Strategy' which most likely her most powerful jutsu. Lavii smiled as he watched Hitomi begin to unveil this jutsu of hers. The sharingan in his eyes began to analyze what she was doing down to the T. The Kanji was formed in the air before transforming itself into a giant glowing shell that would deflect the shuriken. Hitomi began to rush towards Lavii the tortise shell began to take the form of a turtle. When they attacked Lavii his smile still remained, but he was taking it more serious than he had before. "You have to move faster than that." Lavii said as he dodged the tortoise's attack with ease. "It's a rather interesting jutsu though." Lavii said as he began to mold his chakra. "You seem like you've faced off against Uchiha before, so I know you understand full well what we are capable of." Lavii wondered how she was going to react to him using her jutsu. The Uchiha children in the crowd of Academy students began to swoon over their big cousin. They wanted to get like him when they got older. Hitomi was causing Lavii to get strangely out of character, but none of the other Uchiha that knew him in the crowd of Uchiha seemed to mind the change. Their instructor was pleasantly surprised because he had never seen Lavii act in such a manner. The man smiled because Lavii had seemed to change a lot since he had last seen him; to be more precise since the incident with Hyuu.

"See has a rather interesting jutsu here. Very versatile indeed. Hmm, it has many different applications as well." Lavii was talking so that only he could hear himself. These words were spoken within his mind. "This woman, Hitomi, is a ingenious shinobi to have come up with a jutsu such as this. It could be made into many different forms. I'll have to tell her about it after this spar is over. Which it should be coming to a conclusion soon." Lavii continued on in his thoughts has he began to prepare a jutsu. In all honesty if Hitomi had been Faster then this spar could have possibly been over, but Hyuu had drilled close combat into the body of Lavii since he was a child; Lavii had great physical prowess and endurance due to the rigorous training that Hyuu had put him through and it had come in handy his whole life. This was not the only time, even during the chunin exams had it served it's purpose so greatly.

She smiled to him watching him copy her jutsu entirely and could only give off a smirk towards him as she watched him avoid her attack. However as much as he could copy her move, it wasn't perfected and neither did he know all of it's use, only what he could copy. "Speed isn't everything...you may also want to defend yourself from time to time when speed fails." She saw him more than just enjoy himself in the battle but rather engorged himself into it. She continued to push the shield towards him to attack but at the same time knew she was running out of time.

She could only return his sentences to the chatter among the crowds yet not heard. "Thank you, it was completely crafted by myself, tested and used by myself, and just as you mentioned my knowledge of Uchiha...I will say it's not the easiest thing to control." She paused not giving off much intel however she knew if he was to try to replicate it, especially with the element he possessed, three possibilities existed. One was he ruined the Kanji and blew himself back because of it, the other was taking the time to write the letters, which was a moment of defenseless standing, no matter how fast he was one had to stay still to write the letters, and then lastly no hand sign jutsu whatsoever could be used with it in use.

If anything were to break concentration upon this and cause him to stop the process even when it's ready and working, he could have an extreme blowback. But more than that was the fact he was so fast, but the jutsu followed chakra and if that chakra isn't focused because of said speed, it would once again blow him back. This jutsu however versatile was also dangerous if done wrong, which is why she perfected it so well throughout her years as a genin.

She knew however if he did correctly use the attack, he'd win by a landslide due to her chakra reserves draining and dawning. This way she kept him busy and unconcentrated to really test and see how he'd react. It was one thing to perfect the jutsu alone and standing, but a brand new never known jutsu in the midst of battle with many drawbacks and more versatility than most jutsu made it damned hard to figure out in an instant, even for the more well known or even the higher ranked. Even her own sensei whom was an Uchiha as Lavii is couldn't completely perfect it, only use one as he saw before that Hitomi used. This didn't mean it would be the same for Lavii, but that it would be difficult to surpass that kind of power.

Lavii decided to remain calm. He could tell the jutsu was beginning to take its toll on her. He was going to use the jutsu she was using against. Her since he had seen it once he already knew what it meant to mess up the jutsu and what it took to execute it right. Lavii put even more distance between them moving as fast as if could to give him time to draw the Kanji when he had gotten about 60 meters away began to draw the Kanji. He did it fast, but not so fast as to were he would mess it up. Considering the distance that he had steadily put in between the two and the speed at which Hitomi could move it would take her more time than she needed; it gave Lavii the perfect amount of time to . Just as he completed the Kanji a turtle shell would appear around him. The shell would then turn into a full blown turtle. It was interesting that this jutsu was similar to the Susan'o in many ways, but its application and form were different. Lavii stood there at watched Hitmoi before moving towards her as fast as he could the turtle would move in correspondence with him and extend its neck and ram its head into the turtle that encased Hitomi. The kids all had open mouths as Lavii copied the jutsu of Hitmoi that she had said she created, which meant that no one had ever seen it before now; at the very least many people had not seen it. They were nothing short of dumbfounded by the actions of Lavii. After this spar all in attendance had a new respect for both of the two shinobi as well as every shinobi of Konohagakure. Half of the Academy Students began to chant Hitmoi's name while the others began to chant Lavii's. They all could tell that this spar was coming to its end and they all wanted their respective person to win. "Hitmoi you could have beat me, but you carelessly used to much chakra." Lavii's sharingan filled eyes blazed through the wind creatures to look at Hitomi. Lavii was being honest. If Hitomi had not used those jutsu earlier in order to block and other things this spar could have been over.

Once she saw him perform the jutsu correctly she took a moment to sighed, not in defeat but relief to some sort. Soon as the turtles clashed she gave out a smile to him, she didn't make another jutsu or tried to stop him, rather she stood there and watched her own jutsu fade into a wisp of wind, no longer a substance that could be touched. She then held out her hand towards him as if to give him a handshake. "I never expected to win or beat you, only spar it out and well, call me childish but to have fun. Congratulations though." She spoke out to him.

"Y'know this is the first time I saw the tortoise from a person, most others get the bird or monkey, it's always so beautiful to see how the chakra and wind flow into it." She mentioned looking over the copied jutsu. In some ways she wanted to pet the creature, but she knew it wasn't like that. After all it was made of chakra and wind, it's not to mention someone's chakra. She looked to the students who once cheered in surprise and shock.

She gave out the chatter once more. "I usually don't like battling, but thanks for an enthrilling one at least. However I don't mean to put myself down, but the fact of the matter is I didn't want to win, I wanted to give it my all, sure, but had I honestly wanted to win, I would have only used that jutsu. What I wanted was a good show for the kids and of course for my opponent." She mentioned smiling to him still and standing there without a movement other than her hand still awaiting a handshake in good sportsmanship. "You did amazing for an opponent, it's very surprising how well you took to a self crafted jutsu like mine."

The turtles would clash only for Hitomi's to soon fade. Lavii watched Hitomi as she watched the wind turtle. "Don't be so modest." Lavii would saw with a smile while he let the turtle turn into its original state as free wind. A simple blink would show Lavii's eye return to normal. Lavii returned her handshake and smiled as he shook her hand. The children all ran up to them beginning to try and crowd them. Lavii would laugh, and smile heartily. The instructor of the children would begin walking up while clapping. "Alright everyone back to class the demonstration is over." The kids all booed, but did as they were told. Lavii would return his foucus back to Hitomi. "You did great. We should get some rest." Lavii said as he began to walk off; he motioned Hitomi to follow him.

"I'd love nothing more than to rest, and I give my modesty to those who deserve it. Especially with how our battle was. I feel I can trust you as a friend...though only if you wish to accept that." She smiled for a moment following along with the handshake and seeing the children cheer them. She looked them over seeing non in particular yet there was one she slowed her gaze over. A blue haired child who shared her eyes, her little brother. She didn't wish to bring this too to much attention but she gave a smile to him, the young boy of wind under the family of her name. How quaint to have found him there only to see him off to schooling once more. She then returned her attention to Lavii nodding to him and walking along. "I hope those children learn to be like us, but with less pain in their innocent eyes than ours share." She mentioned quietly to herself sighing out. She could hear the wind behind her whistling away calmly through the day long. She couldn't help but giggle a little as she went on with him.
