Kuraudo

Kuraudo
Kumo Genin
Kumo Genin

Kuraudo was fresh out of the academy. He possessed almost no Jutsu ability, though he was far from without potential. The only thing he lacked, that other Genin possessed was an elemental affinity. It seemed he was not lucky to be born with one, coming from a family of couriers. Since he was a simple human, he would strain his body to develop it on his own.

He made his way to the Thunder Grounds, a place off limits to the academy students. Today, it would be especially dangerous for a rather large storm seemed to be brewing. On the way out of his house, it had already began to rain. This excited him in two different manners. The fear for his own mortality caused his heart to pump adrenaline through his body. He sprinted all the way to the Thunder Grounds. Lightning was already striking the rocks, causing rock slides and tremors.

In the middle of the Grounds, Kuraudo held his hand straight out, focusing his Chakra in his palm. He was attempting to make his Chakra vibrate, as his uncle had instructed him to. Though this method didn't prove very effective to him. He sat and concentrated on it for roughly an hour while managing to swat away any incoming rocks from the rock slides, seeing as he was about fifty meters away, they were easy to stop or dodge. A part of his mind told him he should attempt to have himself struck by lightning, causing his Chakra to spark awake as well. This idea seemed incredibly foolish as well as dangerous, though it would be a good story to tell his children.

Soon, his mind was made up and he decided to take a more hasty approach to learning this blasted element. At the base of the cliff, he began climbing up the site. The stone seemed considerably strong, seeing as most lightning blasts only chipped away at a few layers at a time. On his way up, he was more nervous than ever before. A lightning strike at the top would cause a ton of rock to come hurdling down and crush his body. The closest case was when a bolt struck a nearly ten meters away from him on the side of the cliff. Had he been unable to focus his Chakra, he would surely have been thrown to the bottom, to his death. After climbing about 100 Meters or so (he'd lost count), Kuraudo reached a flat on the top. This placed seemed as good as any other.

He held both hands into the air, focusing his wannabe electric Chakra in his palms once more. Sweat fell down his brow and onto the ground as he waited for a painstaking agony to enter his body. Desperate times called for desperate measures, but this was just crazy. As soon as he was going to back down, a glint in his eye appeared as the bright light reflected off of it. He felt a massive surge course through his body and into his veins. The pain in his muscles was near unimaginable. He himself found it extremely hard to believe that only a couple of seconds had passed. He simply lied on the ground, trembling as he attempted to regain his strength. After nearly ten minutes had passed, he was able to stand once again. As he looked at his palms, he noticed the right had a large black mark on it. He assumed that was where the lightning entered, though he could not find an exit wound.

Once again, he began to focus his Chakra. It was all in his hands once again. Though this time was far different than before. His Chakra was a bluish tone now and it was jumping around frantically. Had he done it? He really did it? He attempted the most basic Lightning Release Jutsu, Zap. He did a single hand sign before seeing electricity flow between his finger tips. After all of his practice, he'd finally learned his first element. Though now his biggest concern was getting home.
