Today was a rather sunny day in Kirigakure, unlike the usual. The mist was thin and the sun happily and easily pierced through the thin sheet and smiled upon the citizens. Some people took notice to this rare blessing, while others simply regarded this day as any other. It was sad to see people didn't appreciate the fine weather they were given today, but Shinji would not be one of those people. The teen took note of the unusual brightness and would combat the light with contrast. That's right it was time for one of those hit or miss signature all black outfits, if pulled off correctly, this could really boost Shinji's street cred and he knew it. He had chosen to wake up hella early today, just to make sure his outfit would come out perfect. Most people in Kirigakure wore black and other dark or earthy tones, so Shinji had to be sure to add a spark of color somewhere. And damn was Shinji happy with his choice. It was such a simple look, but upon inspection, the outfit was just flawless. Long length short sleeve Heather Grey tee, a black nice pair of raw denim jeans, a black and gun metal pair of hightop Airforce 1's, then for the splash or color two gold chain link necklaces. But Shinji usually liked to layer, so on top of his shirt he would be wearing jet black hoodie that sported the Kirigakure symbol on the front in white, the necklaces would then rest over top the hoodie gently on his chest. The gold from his chains also complemented his golden blonde hair, Shinji felt like he could pull any bitch in the world right now.

But looking fly as fuck was not the only purpose of today, today he was going to whoop some dojo masters ass. Not once though, not twice, but three times. Shinji was a little skeptical, but he felt like he could pull it off especially with his Gilliam accompanying him today. Gilliam was his pet shellfish and was currently nuzzled deep somewhere in his cloting, he would probably make his existence known when Shinji would need him. He couldn't do much, but Shinji always felt comfortable with him around and Gilliam felt the same way. Now finally stepping into the light mist of Kirigakure, he inhaled deeply. Usually one could feel a light bit of moisture tickle their lungs with such a deep breath, but from the thin sheet that lay over the village today, one could breath as deeply as they wanted. it was a weird thing to appreciate, but Shinji didn't care it was nice regardless.

Leaping rooftop to rooftop, Shinji arrived to the dojo. It was near the outskirts of the village and looked like it had some time and experience under its belt. With that thought a way of nervousness warmed Shinji's body, but he could back down, he was a ninja, a Kirigakure ninja, and when ass needed kicking, Shinji wouldn't be on the receiving end for not following through with mission orders.

He walked up to the traditional Japanese looking building and as he reached to slide the door open, he noticed the array of shoes organized outside the entrance. Fuck Shinji really didn't want to take away from his murderous outfit, so he pondered on what to do for a moment. Knowing he would have to swallow the pill, he removed his shoes, then slid open the dojo door. Stepping in there was a slight decline in elevation and it made his chains jingle and immediately people slid open another door directly in front of Shinji and approach wooden swords drawn. Ehhh I'm here on a mission . . . Shinji pointed to his sweatshirt, to show he was a Kirigakure shinobi, and who he assumed to be the dojo master stepped forward. You ninja are so irresponsible, what happened to headband tradition, just look at the way you are dressed. He waved a hand up and down showcasing Shinji's clothing.

Shinji didn't mind the ninja remark, he knew he wasn't the best when it came to the headband rule, but downplaying his threads . . . hell no. Shinji walked forward to a puny looking student who was, like the others, wearing his uniform white training Gi. He placed his hand on the blade of the wooden sword and pried the boys grip off. Silence was heavy as Shinji tested the weight of the weapon with a few one handed swings. Let's get this over with before I really get pissed yah? Shinji displayed a light smile that masked his rage and without waiting for a reply, he headed towards the room all of the dojo's participants had came from. A white clothed arm extended blocking his path . . . it was the master. Dressed like that ha. I will not let your ignorance defile my dojo, this demonstration will be held outside on the sparring grounds. Even better, Shinji could re-equip his lonely neck breaking shoes and put this man in his place. Demonstration? Ohhh I get it you think you're gonna shame me in front of you students. Hahaha don't be foolish yo. Shinji slipped on his shoes, which to his liking were being surrounded by the dojo's students. With a quick fix of his pants leg, so it would fall over the tongue of his shoe the way he liked, he followed the old school master behind the dojo, his students trailing close, whispering about Shinji's clothes.

Taking no time to start, for both battle participants were aggravated towards the other, the battle started with no warning. The dojo head charge with a traditional two handed Kendo attack, while Shinji, who had made a unique style of his own consisting of two handed and one handed strikes, guarded. He was scared, he just wanted to get a feel for the dojo masters strength. Clashing wooden practice swords, Shinji was in a diagonal two handed guard, one hand on the hilt while the other applied pressure against the back of the wooden edge. He easily transitioned out of the stance with a quick juke to the right, which would make the master slightly stumble forward from his weight being forward and Shinji's support disappearing.

Then utilizing his improper style he let his sword follow through into the ground, now in front of the off balance sensei. Bringing it back through its previous path, the sword sliced diagonally from the earth to Shinji's right side. It easily connected, bruising a few ribs of the grunting dojo master. His students winced and gasped, but Shinji wasn't done yet. With the pain from the blow stunning the master for a quick moment, Shinji decided to go for the finisher. Bringing the blade again down the path, he aimed for the dojo masters back. Come on old man, I feel kinda bad right now. Shinji grunted out during the breath before the strike. Then inches before the blow landed, the master pulled off a truly advanced maneuver. Going with the weight shift forward, he placed his left hand on the ground and spun himself quickly to block Shinji's blow. He was now back to the ground and Shinji's blade was grinding against his. Your unusual style isn't that bad, but don't underestimate the basics of Kendo. Shinji scoffed for the man having his mind set on Kendo gave him extreme tunnel vision. True the man knew Shinji didn't fight traditionally, but Shinji still was taught the basics . . . and he didn't like them. He always felt so limited, with both hands on his blade, the amount of attacks and the amount of mobility he was allowed, just wasn't appealing. So Shinji decided to demonstrate for the poor geezer why he choose not to use Kendo. Your tradition has closed your eyes to creativity, I will show you the power of my unique soul old man.

Hunching over the mans guarding frame, Shinji lifted his sneaker guarded foot and slammed it upon the clashed blades. This pressed the mans sword against his own chest, but Shinji wasn't done there, he wanted to shame the man like he attempted to shame him. The students circled around the scuffle looking for a better view, some cowered at what they saw and others looked as if they were about to jump in. They knew not to though, this was a battle between these two warriors and intervening would dishonor them and their sensei. Shinji lifted his blade, but kept pressure with his foot against the mans weapon, binding him to the ground. Tauntingly assuming a Kendo stance, he reeled his sword over head to deliver the final blow. He whispered under his breath and closed his eyes peacefully before the sword was brought down. Majority of the crowd of students turned away and shielded their eyes, and did the sensei. And in this grim moment a shout was heard, breaking the thin resting mist's silence.

Shinji grinned then chuckled and he examined his work. A dojo master, yelping in pain from a shellfish pinching his nose. When Shinji had whispered under his breath, Gilliam had heard his plot and successfully followed through. One student found the bravery to peek through the slits of his fingers and then broke into laughter, eventually the others did to. As the masters eyes opened he sighed, seeing he wasn't on the other side, he could have sworn he was dead. Haha I'm not a killer, though I am a ninja, just wanted to show you your ways not always right. Right Gilliam? Shinji withdrew his blade and stylish frame from over the man and Gilliam made a high pitched squeal. Crawling onto Shinji's shoulder the two exchanged a smile. Well anyway I'm off, hope your future demonstrations go a bit better than this. He lodged the wooden blade he was using into the ground and headed out. For he had caused enough chaos and made enough children question there teacher's teachings today.

Ahhh the life of the ninja, fighting, killing, training, getting paid, and ultimately assuring your village prospers. What better way to do those things, than pit a multitude of your villages Genin against on another and watch some of them even kill. Better yet, why not entertain some of the nobles and royal families with this event, a spectacular idea. Though killing wasn't needed, it was of course encouraged and regardless of the factors some Genin would. They needed to be feared, to put on a show, to let the Bloody mist know that they belong. These were the type of ninja that Kirigakure seemed to always give birth too. Maybe because of its areas induced with poverty, which breeds hate, or maybe from the legends of great ninja. Those like Kisame Hoshigaki, Zabuza Momochi, Kushimaru Kuriarare, ad the other Seven Swordsman from that generation. This of course was a never ending cycle, that Shinji wished would change. He wasn't a fan of killing even when it was necessary, he has yet to claim his first life and is happy with that. But standing here surrounded by his peers, he could feel his was the only one with that mindset.

Sadly he was forced to participate in this god forsaken event and sadly he would more than likely inflict great pain to some unsuspecting shinobi. But a plus was that since he was participating, he had gotten some free tickets. He hesitantly gave them to a group of students he had been tutoring. He knew eventually they would be shown Kirigakure's true colors, so why not get it over with. This would also be a great opportunity for them to see, how Genin operate in a battle. They were still Academy Students so by watching the event, they could see how skilled they were expected be as Genin.

Shinji scanned the stands and happily found his crews chakra signatures. He was glad he had grown accustomed to sensing and was glad to see there chakra's were warm, signifying they weren't as nervous as he was for the soon unfolding events. Sending a quick wave to them, he realized they probably couldn't see him in the sea of Genin, and he wasn't wearing anything special today, so he looked like a common shinobi. The only difference was he was standing alone in the mist. While standing alone letting his fellow Genin chatter, he drafted the idea of preventing anyone from dying. If he saw someone weakened and another taking advantage of that, Shinji to his best ability, would try to intervene. He knew he wouldn't be able to save everyone and that hurt him, but he could try his best. Maybe he should pay a visit to the Mizukage after this and try to get him to change things. He knew he was just a low ranking Genin, but maybe his words would scratch the surface.

His thought process was cut short by a barking shinobi, he stood atop in the center of the coliseum stands and announced the event was about to begin. Sharp glances were exchanged between the Genin and they all spread far and wide. No hint of trust was in the air and along with that was the abundance of mercy. Dammit Shinji thought as he could sense the tension. Using the announcement and the shuffling bodies as a distraction to hide his plot, he slyly shifted through a set of handseals. He didn't feel any eyes on him and heard no talk of his act, so with a deep sigh he slowly expelled a deep mist in the battle grounds. Shinobi in the stands would easily know this was a jutsu, but the would mentally applaud this behavior. It was a ninja's job to take advantage of moments to gain the upper hand and that is what Shinji had done. Visibility plummeted and voices began to crack in confusion and worry. Shinji however remained calm, for it was his technique and assumed a ready stance.

The announcer didn't falter and even made a tiny joke about the premature act, but with no warning he threw a bomb tag into the sky above the arena, and set it off. This signaled the start of the massacre. One would think violence would be lowered from the fact only sensory ninja had an idea of what was going on, but no. These Genin were exactly what Kirigakure wanted, ruthless bloodthirsty fiends and with that note kunai, shuriken, and other various deadly projectiles danced through the mist.

Shinji sighed and leapt into the air forming  handseals. Up here he was safe from the randomly fired projectiles, but he would have to be careful upon his descent. He wanted this event to be over as quickly as possible and with as little casualties as possible. But of course with such high wants, one would have to settle and Shinji willingly did. He accepted that it he wanted this over, it would be best to just injure everyone, rather than have some injured, some dead, and some unscathed. Closing of his thoughts he focused, on making it to the ground safely to finish the event. When he took his jump he was near the arena edge, so not many items would be flung over there, but he still needed to be careful. Luckily he landed with no issues and put his jutsu into affect.

Though he had jutsu came from the sky, his jutsu would re-elevate him upward, in a typhoon of waters around his waist. This would surely grab the attention of many ears, as the rapids were spinning rapidly and violently. Not to his surprise he couldn't stay there long. An onslaught of metal objects with killing intent were quickly hurled at him. So ducking the attacks he found refuge in his typhoon, then unleashed his attack. Sinking in the rotating rapids, he slammed his palms to the arena's surface, lashing out a fierce wave. One would be able to hear the rushing water, but not until it was basically in your face could you see it. That didn't matter anyhow, for the wave was grazing the height of 15m and would surely wash away anyhow caught in it's path. Shinji didn't expect anyone to be standing after and he was right no one did. The only thing that gave him company in the mist, was a plethora of young children's moans. The attack he used could easily knock down trees, though Shiinji held back a bit, he knew bones had been broken.

With another exhale, like he had summoned his demon mist, he dispelled it, allowing the people who were spectating the fight soak in what just happened. Sad news for them was the event was over, though Shinji didn't grab any vouchers from his groaning peers, he obviously was the winner. Some people cheered some booed as they felt they had been ripped off. The whole fight was concealed, before it even started actually. And now after only a few minutes the mist clears and one boy is left standing? It was complete bullshit, but Shinji didn't care. He didn't care about entertaining the masses with bloodshed, he just wanted to stop the foolish actions and go home.

His mood was shot and though he one, his mood was low. He reallt felt Kirigakure needed a change. He didn't know what, but he wasn't satisfied with the way things were going. Maybe the Mizukage would catch wind of his efforts at the arena and hear Shinji out. He knew he shouldn't even put ideas like that in his mind, but he couldn't help it. He was in a daydreaming mood, because right now, he didn't want to face the reality that was the Village of the Bloody Mist.

Step . . . step . . . step, an exhausted as hell Shinji, forced himself up the mountain side. The thinning air wasn't fun for his lungs and he had been walking for at least 2 hours. Through Kirigakure's forest and now up this god forsaken mountain. The only thing that kept Shinji pushing though, was to visit the grave site of the legendary Musashi Sanada. He was one of Kirigakure's greatest shinobi to live, but sadly because of the trip many people didn't frequently visit to pay honor to his grave. This exact reason was the reason Shinji was trekking there. A secluded and rarely visited grave site of a legendary ninja, who was buried with a collection of his things, grave robbers had caught on and rumor has it were working on defiling this site. Shinji hadn't heard much about Musashi Sanada, but he knew enough from endless lectures in the academy that he should be upset upon hearing about this disrespect.

Finally, he reached the bend of the mountain and turned a slight corner to see the grave robbers in the act. Shinji quickly turned back around the corner and began to devise an approach. There were three of them, they didn't look like much, but Shinji didn't want to underestimate his opponents. He exhaled not having an idea of what to do, he had the element of surprise, but they had the advantage of numbers. Gotta make this quick. He drew his blade, which resided on his back and formed the half rat seal. His blade was then encompassed by a stream of water, which gave off a faint humming noise.

With a sigh he hopped around the corner and easily dismembered the first robber's arm with a clean swipe. The man yelled alerting his allies, who comically charged Shinji with shovels. One horizontally slice and the shovels were headless. Following through with the swing, he neatly clicked the blade back into it's sheathe, the swung it back down onto one of the robbers skulls. A thick thud was heard and even Shinji winced as the man's head immediately bled and he fell unconscious.

Stop what you are doing or I will happily kill the three of you. Shinji declared while taking a hop back making distance. He had no intentions on killing them, and couldn't bear the act itself, but they didn't know that and it sure as hell didn't look like it. One grave robber clinching his bloody shoulder where his arm previously resided at, one unscathed, but obviously disturbed a bit, and the other with a fractured if not crack skull unconscious bleeding onto the ground.

Ok ok we will do what you want, just calm down and stop, we are just petty grave robbers. The emotionally shook man dropped to his knee, begging for mercy. Shinji played along wit his merciless ninja act and took the three into custody.

Leaving them in the hands of the Anbu, to figure out what they were searching for, Shinji received his payment and left.
